Full day Paine Privado

It was a long day over 12 hours. Christian was our guide. He was kind and helpful as was the driver. He had a stop at the halfway point it was quaint and authentic Inn. The view of the mountain peaks was spectacular. We saw birds and wildlife along the way. Highly recommended.

Conclusion: Clean comfortable minibus for 8 people, therefore plenty of space for us 4, friendly and competent guide (Viktor) and good driver (Chaim), skilful tour guide (opposite to the big buses, therefore the viewpoints were not totally crowded), Viktor answered all questions patiently and responded to our special requests. It couldn't be better! The tour was definitely worth the price and reasonable. The whole story: We (4 pers. from Germany) did a cruise around South America in Jan/fFebr.25 and I was looking for private tours to the local sights for the ports called, as we try to avoid the tours offered by the ship with large buses and with up to 80 participants as much as possible. During my internet research I came across the agency "Viento del Sur", to whom I sent an email request, which was answered promptly and very kindly by Valeria. My problem was that our ship did not arrive in Punta Arenas (Chile) port in time for the start time of the normally offered day trips to the Torres del Paine National Park and therefore we could only start later, the return time was not a problem as the ship stayed in port overnight. Valeria then offered me a private tour with a suitable schedule. I hesitated at first with the price (well over 1000.00 euros) and the fact that prepayment was required via an unknown internet payment service provider (Transbank webpay.cl). After consulting my fellow travellers, however, we took the risk and I paid the amount. The price was about the same as the ship line requested for a similar tour, but the service offered with its own guide and driver in the small group was definitely worth it! This was followed by a few emails to clarify details (names of all participants, passport numbers, etc.), then I got a voucher with all the data that I could print. You cannot always access the internet on the go, so I think it is important to have a written document that contains all the relevant data. When we stood as planned on 03.02.2025 at the specified start time in the cruise terminal at the port of Punta Arenas, we were picked up by Viktor, the rest you read above in the conclusion. We had a great tour with our guide Christian. He knows the park in all details an brought us to the most lovely points of the park. Very friendly, we had a beautiful time with him

Our guide Nicholas was great - it's a long drive but we'll worth the trip - the scenery is breath taking !!
