We (family with 2 children, 10 & 12 years) had a great private trip to Luxor! Our tour guide Hany was great! He took his time and explained the exciting history of the ancient Egyptians! We would book Hany as a private tour again and recommend him further!
After the private day tour to Cairo we also made Luxor private. It was 31.12.24 and a new team picked us up at 4.45 at the hotel in Hurghada. 2 drivers and our guide for this day...Hany. The drive to Luxor took 4.5 hours and was very bumpy! Apparently a new road will be opened in 2025...so the journey should be more pleasant then😏 As mentioned in the other reports, the same program was offered...we had the advantage that there were only two of us and could choose the places and sights at our discretion. The team was very eager to fulfill all our wishes and by the end of the day we had seen everything we wanted and what was possible in one day! Since it was New Year's Eve we wanted to be at the hotel a little earlier, which was fulfilled to our complete satisfaction. After a 4 hour drive we were back at the hotel at 6pm. After doing 2 tours with 2 guides...a tip from me: If it is possible in any way, book Hamdi as a guide...he is lonely class! But I think that all guides of Flash Tour have very well trained guides...everyone is just a little different!😉
Choukri guide not very honest. But our stay was pleasant nonetheless. We did not appreciate his methods of selling excursions. 5 minutes to decide and in cash if possible!!!!
Been picked up on time, educated tour guide who brought us closer to the history of Egypt, great day with many great sights.
In itself a beautiful tour to see the Valley of the Kings. It started relatively early, we were picked up at 5:30 a.m. in Soma Bay. After about 3.5 hours of driving with a short stopover, we set up the 1st Target, the Karnak Temple. Afterwards we went on a small Nile cruise followed by lunch. Then to the Temple of the Dead Ramses 3rd and finally to the Valley of the Kings and the Memnon Colossi. The trip to an alabaster manufactory wasn’t so gratifying, here everything reminded so much of a coffee trip, everything staged, if you don’t buy anything you get a piece of alabaster “gifted” (you are still asked for money, the poor man has 5 children to feed after all). Even in shipping the hand was stopped at the end...annoying! We spent about 140€ per person, I think everything is well paid for. What reminds us of this really exciting tour with a bland taste was the behaviour of the “guide” at the end. After a really long day you put a tip (3 dollars) in his hand and the guy counts and complains! I would have loved to take the money away from him! Then there were extra 2 drivers employed, one drove the first and last 3 hours, was dropped off at home and picked up again in the evening. The guide was supposedly a trained Egyptologist, just like all the other guides who walked around the grounds in the Valley of the Kings. Unfortunately the others were better understood, with ours it was sometimes very difficult to understand German. Advantage was that he always took a photo, or drew your attention to particularly beautiful things. In the end, a really nice tour, just the need to bring your dollars and euros to the people, really annoys!
We were picked up 30 minutes late at our hotel. The trip to Luxor took 3 hours, 4 hours including a 40-minute break instead of as advertised, as the guide insisted. Same thing on the way back. Although the whole group was very tired and only wanted a 10 minute break, we had to take a 30 minute break so that the driver and the travel companion could smoke their hookah. The tour guide’s knowledge of German was very limited, which meant that we received/understood little information about the history of the city and the culture. The stated programme would not have been fully implemented if one of the tourists had not insisted. Furthermore, the tour guide left us mostly alone during the sightseeing tours. At the end of the trip, two covers were distributed for the tip, one for the driver and one for the tour guide. After seeing both covers, the guide gave us his tip back because it was less, like the driver's.
Tour operator imposed by promosejour. Concerning the Airport Welcoming no problem. For the excursion to luxor, at the pace but with a nice guide. Be careful when booking they scammed us by converting us into dollars. Instead of dividing the sum in euro by the exchange rate, they multiply it. Explanation: 210 euros pay converted to 218 dollars. They multiplied by 1.04 normally we'd have to pay $208. After the account the $218 was converted into 225 euros without the bank charges. Consequence scam of 15 euros so be careful!!!!!
The tour guide was very friendly, had an amazing experience with flash tour. the trip was so fun and I didn't feel lonely with the amazing new friends
Picked up early at the hotel (4.30am). First drive around for an hour and a half to pick up other passengers and then towards Luxor. A short break to pee and have breakfast (tip: ask the hotel where you are staying for breakfast box). Smooth Dutch speaking guide. Who talks enthusiastically about the country. First visited Karnak: impressive site. Beautifully preserved, neatly maintained. Lots of poverty to see along the way. Sailed with a boat short on the Nile (paid €10 pp extra, which was no added value) instead of just with a motorboat to the other side. Lunch in a buffet restaurant included, drinks (regular price) to be paid. By bus to amaranth workshop and then to valley of the kings. Visited three graves there. Nice and neat. There are sellers everywhere, but if you don’t make eye contact and show no interest, they’ll also leave you neat and alone. Then drive back to hotel long, short pee break provided. Despite the long busy day very nice excursion with fine guide.
Our guide was friendly however after having made 5 hours of bus to reach the temple of Karnak we expect to stay there a little bit but it is always at the pace... We are told that we take a boat to cross the Nile to go to the restaurant we are offered a small cruise on the Nile at 11 € / almost clearly it is theft it was not worth them. However, the stops at the papyrus and alabaster there was time, except who cares? We don't pay 108 euros a day for this but for luxor and the valley of kings. I took the discovery hurghada 30 € / pers there must have been the mosque and the aquarium, the mosque was too late because closed and the aquarium was not even told us though we were taken to a souvenir shop catch pigeons... Disappointing
