El tour de día completo del lago Titicaca a las islas Uros y Taquile es una forma popular y la mejor manera de presenciar la vida en estas islas remotas. A 3812 metros sobre el nivel del mar (12506 pies), el lago Titicaca es reconocido como el lago navegable más alto del mundo. El lago Titicaca se extiende a ambos lados de la frontera entre Perú y Bolivia. Una gran porción del lago pertenece al Perú. Es el hogar de muchas islas remotas diferentes donde la pesca y la agricultura son la principal fuente de ingresos. Las islas flotantes de los Uros, Taquile y Amantani son las más destacadas y están abiertas al turismo. En este tour de un día completo, visitará las islas flotantes de los Uros y la isla de Taquile con nuestro experto en viajes local bilingüe (inglés y español). Obtendrá una idea de la vida de los lugareños aquí y cómo mantienen su vida diaria con recursos mínimos. Los lugareños aquí no han sido tocados por la modernidad y mantienen sus antiguas tradiciones y costumbres. Todavía hablan en aimara y quechua.

Itinerario
Su recorrido épico comienza con un traslado al muelle de botes donde se embarcará en un viaje en bote de 25 minutos para ver la vida en las islas flotantes de los Uros. A medida que comience a navegar, obtendrá una vista prístina de los picos andinos nevados a la distancia. Cuando lleguemos a las costas de las islas de los Uros, los lugareños le darán una cálida bienvenida y le presentarán su vida en esta isla artificial. La gente aquí habla aymara, nuestro guía turístico le enseñará algunas palabras para que pueda saludarlos en su idioma. El jefe de la comunidad demostrará cómo construyen estas islas y compartirá la historia de la misma. Si lo desea, puede comprar algunos recuerdos aquí. Luego, los lugareños ofrecerán un paseo corto en su bote de totora a la isla principal de los Uros (esto tiene un costo adicional de 10 soles). Tendrá tiempo libre para pasear, la isla también está hecha de totora. Una vez que se haya saciado de la historia y las vistas, nos embarcaremos en un viaje de 2 horas a Taquile.
A medida que el bote se acerque a las costas de la isla de Taquile, nuestro experto local le estará brindando una breve información de la vida de los lugareños aquí. Son casi 45 minutos de caminata cuesta arriba hasta la cima desde donde podrás contemplar las vistas. Taquile es el hogar de las mejores artesanías andinas. Aquí los hombres tejen mientras las mujeres hilan la lana. La gente aquí se viste según su estado civil. Nuestro guía te explicará esto en detalle. Un jefe de la aldea te hará una demostración de cómo tiñen la lana con vegetales. Después de una breve introducción, nos detendremos para almorzar en un restaurante local. Después del almuerzo, caminaremos de regreso al muelle y nos embarcaremos en nuestro bote para un viaje de regreso a Puno. La distancia de 36 kilómetros (22 millas) se cubrirá aproximadamente en dos horas y media. Estaremos llegando a Puno a las 0500 PM. Nuestro representante lo recibirá y lo trasladará de regreso a su hotel en el centro de la ciudad.

Little content and superficial information regarding the place, the inhabitants, the history, etc., etc. Too much commercial interest in selling you crafts, boat rides, and taking you to lunch at a place that is not accessible to everyone.

A perfect day trip from Puno! One of the guides, Julio, personally picked me up from my hotel and took me to the shuttle bus, which was a great start to the day. I was then placed in Fausto's group, and he was an outstanding guide. His English was excellent, and he was incredibly knowledgeable about the local history and cultures. Pablo was another standout guide who gave entertaining and informative commentary during the boat cruise, making the journey even more enjoyable. Visiting the local families on Uros was a truly special experience, and lunch on Taquile Island was exceptional. We enjoyed delicious quinoa soup followed by fresh trout with Peruvian potatoes, and there was also a vegetarian option available. The transport was comfortable, the entire day was well organized, and it offered fantastic value for money. A must-do experience when visiting Puno!

We did the full day tour with guide Ruben and it was very unique experience. Nancy picked us up from the hotel on the day of the tour and she was very kind and helpful. They also stored our bags while we were on the tour. Taquile island involved a bit of hike but it was very well organised with regular stops. The views were out worldly and the lunch was very delicous. Highly recommend the tour and Discover Lake Titicaca. A big plus if you get Ruben as your guide.

The full day Lake Titicaca tour was an excellent experience. Visiting the Uros Flaoting islands and Taquile Island was fascinating,and the scenery on the lake was stunning. We opted for this full day trip before travelling to Bolivia and we are very happy with everything. The communication, guide, transfers everything was efficient. The guide was very knowledgable. I specially enjoyed the secoond island we visited as it had lot of cultural value and the views were very nice.

This was a perfect day trip from Puno, the pickup was very well cordinated and the guide was very knowledgable and passionate to share information about the local traditions and customs. Lunch was served in Taquile island in a local family restaurant overlooking the valley. Highly reccomend.

Did this full day Lake Titicaca tour and it was perfectly organized, it included visits to two different islands and our guide, fausto was very passionate in sharing his knowledge about the places and culture. Despite the disrupted weather in the morning, everything was great. We had a private tour of the two islands. The sun appeared in a magnificent setting... Two completely different islands... but authentic... Stunning landscapes!

A very friendly guide and professional staff. Everything was perfect from start to end with no unpleasant surprises. The tour included visits to two different islands and locals were welcoming and explained about their traditions and customs. The floating islands was a little touristic but quite different in a pleasant way.
