Este viaje patrimonial de diseño privado comenzará cuando su conductor lo recoja de su hotel a las 8:00 de la mañana. Esta colección de templos hindúes, budistas o jainistas es famosa por sus increíbles esculturas y esculturas, símbolos y signos inclinados y arquitectura de estilo nagara. Su arquitectura única y maravillosa lo ha colocado en las listas de sitios de Patrimonio Mundial de la UNESCO. Construido a principios del siglo X-XII, estos templos son maravillosas piezas de arquitectura en la actualidad. Estas esculturas y arquitectura sensacionales representan la pasión masiva, la música increíble, la danza y otras artes creativas y sus genios de la dinastía Chandela. Situado en el estado de Madhya Pradesh, este grupo de templos ascendía a 85, de los cuales solo 20 han sobrevivido durante este largo período de tiempo. Actualmente, estos se dividen distintivamente en dos grupos como grupo de templos occidental y oriental. Se cree que este grupo de templos se conecta con una historia interesante de la dinastía Chandela. Se dice que el Dios de la Luna atrajo y se conectó físicamente con una hermosa niña brahmán, Hemvati con deseo y pasión. Esto dio lugar al nacimiento de Chandravarman, el fundador de la dinastía Chandela. Una vez Chandravarman soñó que su madre le pedía que hiciera un templo que representara el tesoro de la pasión y la increíble fantasía para el mundo. Esto llevó a la construcción de templos con esculturas increíbles en este pequeño pueblo rodeado de montañas del distrito de Chatarpur. Cada templo es diferente de otro y dos templos entre ellos fueron construidos de piedra arenisca.
Construido en el año 900 DC, este templo es conocido por ser el más antiguo entre los 20 templos sobrevivientes. Dedicado a la Diosa Kali, este es el único templo formado por Granito aquí.
Dedicado al Señor Shiva, consagrado con la "Shivalinga", este templo es el templo más típicamente diseñado con tallas muy intensas y elegantes. Con 31 metros de altura, es el más grande entre todos los templos. Exquisita artesanía en piedra representa a dios, diosas, deidades, amantes eternos y doncellas celestiales.

I did the Khajuraho 8-hour temple tour and, although there aren’t many reviews for it, rest assured it is legit and of good quality. My guide, Karan, was extremely knowledgeable about the temples in Khajuraho. He explained the stories behind the most interesting sculptures and kept the tour lighthearted and engaging throughout. He knew the sites very well and was even able to accommodate some souvenir shopping along the way. As I was travelling on my own, we completed the tour in about 5 hours (rather than the full 8), but I am satisfied that we managed to cover everything.
We extremely enjoyed the amazing full day tour of Kajuraho temples given by guide Ganeshiam, who went out his way to give us the very best experience, showing such a deep knowledge of Indian history and mythology. We visited the most gorgeous Hindu temples from the Western & Eastern part as well as a couple of charming Jainist temples, a few from the South & North. We had lunch at a nice restaurant and also visited some exquisite shops . It was indeed the most comprehensive cultural experience of Khajuraho one could ever get.

A fascinating and educational tour of these amazing structures. Naturally they (Jain temples excluded) are associated with the Kama Sutra but there is so much more than that! The figures depict every day activities; culture and worship in extraordinary detail and in 3D. Our guide gave us wonderful and surprising insights into these memories of human history and beliefs. Extraordinary tributes to a highly sophisticated society that existed a 1000 years ago. The timing was flexible as was the tempo and itinerary which allowed us to get the most out of the day and accommodate other ad-hoc objectives without missing a beat on this tour.
