Being taken to areas of Praga we wouldn't have known to visit. Learned about historical significance and how the neighborhood is evolving.
Super Guide (Whit), great 3,5 hours Tour, Many interesting places, Praga was great thank you so much
I knew nothing about Warsaw. If I leave a walking tour feeling like I have more knowledge or a feel for the people, I give the highest stars available. But it really has to be earned - I don't give them if not earned. Marcin has a very personable way of sharing.
A great way to see a different part of Warsaw, different history, different architecture and most importantly away from the main touristy area. Our guide Whit was super flexible and picked a great little cafe for the coffee people in the group.
I booked this tour as a source to find out more about Warsaw, see its alternative sides, here stories and local anecdotes. At first, I was not sure if our guide feels comfortable speaking in English. Secondly, to 96% of our questions, the answer was "I don't know". And the questions weren't hard. Like "what is in the building You are telling us now?", "why is Your mentioned character a hero?", "Who is painted in the murial You are showing us?". During the 3 hours spent together, walking large distances, the guide was not as a guide, but as a person who just walks along with us quietly. The information he told, was less that we had read preparing for our trip. Mostly we didn't understand where we are going and why.. If the description mentions "Discover why the Monument of Soldiers of the Kosciuszko Division is sarcastically called the "5 beers, please" monument" - we didn't find this out. "Do as the locals do, hop on a tram and munch on a tasty Polish "donut." - no tram, no donut, no sense of a local with us..

We met as strangers and parted as friends. Paola is an interesting, jolly person as well as a very knowledgeable guide. Our tour was enlightening and enjoyable, indeed we had many laughs and felt thoroughly at ease with Paola. Highly recommended. NB; We visited Warsaw in 2019 so the date of visit as stated below is not accurate. There is no facility for 2019
Really outstanding tour of a little known part of Warsaw. Good experience how it was before the ww2 here. It was great pleasure to walk around genuine, survived from the war buildings.
I think that every city has it's own Praga - a district that used to have bad reputation, has been poor and quite dangerous and now it is turning into the most hip, artistic area. Withlocals tour was a great ocassion to discover Praga with all of it's contrasts - from unrenovated buildings that looks like the World War II just ended to very cool concept stores and coffe places. It was fascinating to learn more about this area!
