Mario made what could have easily been a tiring walk turn into one of the most enjoyable and memorable experiences we’ve had. Even in the scorching heat and despite it being just the two of us, he never once made it feel forced, awkward, or exhausting. His energy stayed constant throughout and he genuinely never seemed tired, which kept us engaged the entire time. What really sets him apart is how he blends historical facts with storytelling during the Fontainhas heritage walk. It is not just information, it is engaging, detailed, and full of character, giving you a real sense of the place and its history. The pace was perfect and somehow the walk never felt tiring at all. If you are having second thoughts about booking with him, do not hesitate. He is absolutely worth it. You will not only enjoy every minute but also walk away having learned so much about the area. Easily one of the best experiences we have had.

Fontainhas is a small, old part of Goa that is very colorful and charming. The narrow streets and old Portuguese-style houses make it a beautiful place to walk around. The walls of the houses are painted in bright colors, and some houses have pretty balconies and windows. It is a peaceful place compared to the busy beaches of Goa. There are small cafés and shops where tourists can enjoy snacks or buy souvenirs. Walking through Fontainhas feels like seeing the history and culture of Goa up close.

We had a wonderful trip experience thanks to our guide Mr. Mario. He provided exceptional service throughout, sharing fascinating Goas historical details with great knowledge and clarity. Mario is a great story teller. The way he walked through the history sharing stories and facts, shows his love for the culture and history. A whole experience from history to culture to food was covered by him. Overall it was a great experience.

We had a great time during the heritage walk wherein we were explained the intricate architecture of the place including the colonial history. Special call out to Joan D'Souza for been an amazing guide and managing to keep the interest of the diverse audience during the walk.

Mario is a wondeful host and guide. He has a special knack to make Goanese culture, traditions, mysteries / myths, and his special love for everything Goan come out succintly and understandable to those new to Goa. The walk was more of an informal chat all through, putting us at ease and gave us courage to delve into popular myths. For instance why the tour is to showcase 'colonial quarters' and NOT 'latin quarter'. Thank you Mario for this clarity.
