Itinerario

We were really looking forward to this experience but clearly the local tour operator had closed their business. We waited over an hour, sent emails, tried to call and finally after 1.5 hrs of waiting was advised the tour was cancelled. Very disappointing!
We are very sorry for your disappointment, however this review does not reflect what actually happened. We informed all customers by email one week in advance that the tour could not operate due to a national strike and we offered several alternative dates and solutions. Unfortunately, you preferred not to reschedule, so we were forced to cancel the booking. We always try our best to assist our customers and avoid cancellations whenever possible.
We were last minute rejected and they asked us to change our date and didn’t get a refund…they should t do this because a lot of people book tours and plan their trips
We are sorry to read this review because, as we already told you, we refunded your reservation immediately after you told us that you wouldn't be able to attend the tour. We also told you that Viator is the one that handles the refund process and to contact their customer service. Therefore we reported this review to Viator because it is slanderous and not true.
It was really an unpleasant experience. The tour guide was really rude and asked for tip upfront . We've already paid $400 and he asked for extra 75 euro in cash for each of us if we wanted him to walk with us in Florence . He parked the car in a parking lot way further than the destination and made us walk all the way. He was late for about 30 mins for the second part of the trip
We are sorry to read this review, as we did not know it happened. You booked a transport to Florence without a guide, so to have a tour guide an additional fee is required, however it is not 75 euro per person. We would have addressed it immediately if you had contacted us. As for the parking, it is unfortunately not possible to park in Florence city center unless you are a resident.
So we were told that we will be transferred to a mini van and then will go to Florance with a small group, but when I saw driver is heading out of city I asked him are we getting transferred ? He said” what , no we are going straight to Florance” but anyway drive was smooth and relaxed. He stopped at rest area. In Florance another family joined us but they had the same experience and by talking to each other we realized company gave us to another company, probably they had so many trips. But it was nice , felt like private tour , guide was good, we also made friend with another family so we as great time .
Thank you for your review! We would just like to clarify that we did not use another company, you booked a tour to Florence and Pisa with pickup and dropoff at your hotel in Rome and our driver (who is also a tour guide) took you to Florence and then Pisa. The tour is not private, so that is why another group joined you.
Avoid. Extortionate taxi service. Blatant false advertising. Refused refund, charge back through credit card. Avoid at all costs.
We are sorry to read this review, as we very clearly remember what happened and it was disgraceful. You booked a transportation service from Rome to Florence without a guided tour. Realized your mistake the night before the scheduled departure, wrote to us an email in the middle of the night demanding a tour guide and when our driver came to your hotel to pick you upthe next morning you refused to meet him and made the receptionist tell him to go away. If you'd met him he would have told you that he was also a tour guide and, for a small additional fee, he would have gladly guided you through Florence. We presented all these evidence to Viator and your credit card company, and both refused to refund you.
Driver was a little rude. Not a lot of time in each location, so if you want a full day in Florence, this is not the excursion for you.
We are sorry to read this review, as you did not communicate with us the issue about the driver on the day of the tour, otherwise we would have assessed the situation immediately. As for the time in Florence, we would like to remind that we do give a rough estimate of how much time you spend in each location in the product description.
Had a lovely day in Florence and Pisa. Both places are incredible with the architecture and the beautiful squares and lovely shops and scenary. The bus was great and we had time to stop and get Pizza and some wine in Pisa. I think though it is too much to do a trip to both in the same day. Florence was very rushed and no time to pop in anywhere or relax for coffee or get some shopping. The schedule is too tight. I would suggest break them up. Pisa is nice but not a lot for a day trip. I would love to see Florence again as felt I did not get to see a lot. So I would not recommend the day trip tour on that basis, unless there was an option just to do Florence from Rome in the 1 day. Met some lovely people and driver was nice. We were though told at the start the tour did not include a guide which was extra and whilst we missed it when booking I was a bit dissappointed as otherwise it just becomes a taxi ride to both.
Terrible experience. We did not have a guide or any information. We rode in a small van and were unloaded in Florence with no information. We went straight to train station and returned to Rome.
We're sorry to hear you were disappointed. You booked our transport-only option, which does not include a guide. We regret this was not clear enough at the time of booking and hope to welcome you back for a fully guided experience in the future.
This is just a taxi service, and not a good one at that!!! You could get an Uber to drive you there for cheaper. This wasn't a good experience for us and I would recommend you avoid this 'tour' at all costs!!! We were dropped off at a random location outside the main tourist area of Florence and expected to find our own way to all of the listed places in the itinerary, and the driver proceeded to wait for us where he left us. It seemed like he had absolutely no knowledge of where to go and told us to use our GPS to find our way. We were very well aware that this was not a guided tour but we weren't even taken to the locations promised on this site. And the driver couldn't even come and fetch us from a closer location. When we got lost he sent us a pin and told us he is just a driver and not a tour guide. This is blatant FALSE ADVERTISING!!! To make matters worse, he was falling asleep behind the wheel. We gave him water to splash on his face and had to keep talking to him because we were afraid. Our lives were put in danger by the carelessness of the tour company and the driver. The drive back was extremely uncomfortable after these incidents but we had no choice. It was extremely nerve-wracking.
We are really sorry to read this review, as it is slanderous and we already reported it to Viator. First of all, as per the product description (and as we reiterated via email) you did not book a guided tour to Florence, it is clearly stated in the product description that we just provide transportation from Rome to Florence+Pisa and back and that you can explore the cities on your own. Second of all the driver was not falling asleep behing the wheel: he just took a coffee and some water while you stopped for a restroom break, that's all. Furthermore, instead of calling us while all this allegedely took place, you wrote this review while still in the car with him. If you were really afraid for your life as you claim, you'd have called us requesting to intervene. The truth is you did not carefully read what you bought, realized your mistake and decided to write a negative review to slander us and our driver instead of taking accountability and that is shameful.
The worst experience I have ever had not in my travel to Italy but in all my travels around the world. My trip was on 22 April, they sent to me an email telling me that the trip was changed to April 21, but this was not a big problem to me. On 21 April the driver took me and another 6 travelers by a non comfortable minivan and after a 3 hours drive he dropped us in Florence in a square far away from the city center in front of the libreria nazionale and was about to leave us. He told us I am just a driver, my job is to leave all of you here, navigate in the city by your own and after 3 hours come back here and I will come to take you to Pisa.. We fought with him, l tolled him that you should take us to the places mentioned in the website of your company and in the voucher. He refused. I threatened him that I will call the police because we paid money for a certain service mentioned in the booking voucher and you through us in the street. He crossed the street to the other side and did some phone calls after that he came and said I will take you around the city according to the voucher. He took us to only 3 places in Florence just to have a look from outside then to one place in Pisa. Then back to Rome. We spent only few minutes in each place not enough to visit any of them. I will complain officially to viator company and to tourist information office in Rome. This is not a tourist company at all. A worst experience I have ever had in my life..
We are really sorry to read this review, as it is slanderous and we already reported it to Viator. First of all, as per the product description you did not book a guided tour to Florence, it is clearly stated in the product description that we just provide transportation from Rome to Florence+Pisa and back and that you can explore the cities on your own. The truth is you did not carefully read what you bought, realized your mistake and decided to write a negative review to slander us and our driver instead of taking accountability and that is shameful. Proof is we did not receive any complain from Viator, and if you did complain to the tourist information office in Rome they probably told you the same thing we did. We strongly suggest to carefully read what you buy, as to avoid future' worst experience of your life'.
