Unkind staff and very smelly market do not recommend this place but you save for really good food
Great market with fantastic fresh produce. We bought olive oil, pasta & truffles for home. Go upstairs, grab a seat and then order freshly cooked Italian food from one (or more) of the many kitchens. Brilliant- don't miss it.
This was a fun whirlwind tasting tour with a great guide (Lorenzo) who showed some great places to us. He also gave us a great tip for a beautiful road trip to take when we ventured out to the Tuscan countryside
Anna was so charming! Her bubbly personality was delightful. She was also very knowledgeable and well able to field questions from a group of varied individuals.. I’m vegetarian and was accommodated well. The food was sometimes delicious always fascinating. Well done!
Marilisa was incredible and exceeded our expectations. It was a great and authentic food experience, and also a good way to get a feel for the area.
Dilara was an exceptional host. She showed us many, many different locations as well as some of her personal favourites. The tastings were excellent and showcased the variety and quality of the local products. She went out of her way to accommodate our varied interests and needs. Dilara was both knowledgeable as well as passionate about Florence.
We had a quick lunch with crushed flatbread, lampredotto and tripe!... all sublime! Excellent prices. Definitely a stop to make if you are passing through Florence!
Martina was an amazing host! We showed us all of her favorite local spots, and she also was eager to share her knowledge of the history of the city. The food we tasted was all wonderful and the whole group had a great time. Martina is passionate about food and Florence!
On Thursday, my husband and I went for a "hit and run" in Florence. It was a very pleasant day. The city is always beautiful, and now the shops are even more inviting because they start to be decorated for Christmas. My goal, this time, was to go to the San Lorenzo Market to eat the lampredotto sandwich at Nerbone's and I was delighted both with the famous sandwich that was delicious, and in walking the corridors of this beautiful Covered Market, housed in an Art Nouveau building. Another magnificent surprise was the visit to the "Officina Profumo-Farmaceutica di Santa Maria Novella", active since 1221, then for 801 years! It is an incredible place, both for the architecture and for the frescoes, with wonderful furniture and chandeliers, elegant as the personal ilcgentulisso but what makes the senses numb are the scents you breathe inside. Beautiful Florence! See you soon and, keep me warm the lampreduct!
This tour was 5 stars!!! We had the best tour guide (Aurora) who made the experience so worth it. She was an expert on all things Florence and was so fun and easy to talk to. We only did a day trip to Florence so we wanted to book a tour. She showed us all the best spots in Florence and helped us explore the beautiful city while tasting the staples food and wine. This is a must do when visiting Florence and you must ask for Aurora! You will not be disappointed.
