We enjoyed the tour but keep in mind you still have to wait in the line to get into the Cathedral which can take a while. But while waiting the guide gave us lots of information about the duomo and showed us many things we may have missed when inside the church. After the tour was finished we were able to walk around the church ourselves.
We had a busy itinerary in Florence, but this was one stop we were really glad we made time for. The cathedral is stunning, and the guide made sure we understood what we were seeing rather than simply walking through. A very enjoyable and worthwhile visit.
Without the guide, we probably would have walked through the cathedral, taken a few photos, and moved on. Instead, we learned so many interesting details about the artwork and architecture. The explanations were clear, engaging, and never felt like too much information.
Inside, the cathedral is quite plain, so without a guide, you would finish in 10 minutes. But our guide told us cool stories about how they built the big dome. The headphones worked great, and her English was very clear and easy to follow.
The lines outside the Duomo were absolutely massive, so booking this priority access guided tour was the best decision we made. We bypassed the crowd seamlessly. The tour itself was well-paced, informative, and gave us just the right amount of depth without feeling overwhelming.
Amazing and knowledgeable guide. Forgot her name so photo attached.I thought we would be going to the top and I thought we would skip the line, but apparently I did not purchase those tickets. Confusing process for the ticket purchase, but nonetheless, an amazing church with a guide who had so much knowledge information and colorful stories. Beautiful place but I would recommend the skip the line tickets on a very hot day in July. Next time we will go to the top. Recommend this tour early in the morning.
Not recommended for those who do not speak English. I booked for 4 people, found the meeting point and staff for voucher verification without any issues. At the time of the reservation, the guide showed up and simply told us to get in line (no dedicated entrance) and start listening to the audio guide in our language. I was aware that we would have the audio guide in Italian, but I thought the guide would still accompany us and explain something. 40 minutes in line like everyone else, meanwhile the guide entertained those who spoke English for the entire route. Once inside, we were on our own. Wasted money.
This product includes a hosted entry and a multilingual audio guide, not a live guided tour in Italian. The English commentary was only for English-speaking guests, as described in the product details. Waiting in the security line is required for all visitors, as this is not a skip-the-line experience.
The normal line outside was super long in the sun. With this tour, we got inside in less than 10 minutes. The meeting spot was easy to find. Just make sure to arrive 15 minutes early because the square gets very crowded!
Absolutely loved this. I unfortunately can’t remember the name of the guy who guided us. I booked one on 14.07 at 11:55. He did an amazing job telling us stories and even when the tour’s ended, he’s willing to give us an extra time to tell more stories. Best guy!
Guide was excellent. Very interesting and provided excellent information. The line was very long to enter cathedral. I booked this on the spot while in Firenze and was able to get the tour same day.
