Salida desde Roma para una excursión de un día completo a la “Cuna del Renacimiento”. Primero parada Pisa, verás la “Piazza dei Miracoli” con su famosa Torre Inclinada y visitarás el Baptisterio y el “Duomo”, todos monumentos de mármol blanco brillante. Continuación a Florencia, la legendaria ciudad de artistas y arquitectos de los siglos XIV al XVII. Pare a almorzar. A las 2:30 pm reunirse con el guía para un recorrido a pie por Florencia. Una vez en el centro de la ciudad, se respira el ambiente de las calles medievales y talleres de artesanos y ver obras maestras de Leonardo Da Vinci, Botticelli y Miguel Ángel, incluyendo el famoso David ubicado en el interior de la "Accademia". Vea la Catedral de Santa María del Fiore, con su hermosa cúpula proyectada por Brunelleschi y admire el Baptisterio, así como el Campanario de Giotto. El Baptisterio de San Juan de Pisa (en italiano: Battistero di San Giovanni) es un edificio eclesiástico católico en Pisa, Italia. La construcción comenzó en 1152 para reemplazar un baptisterio más antiguo, y cuando se completó en 1363, se convirtió en el segundo edificio, en orden cronológico, en la Piazza dei Miracoli. La forma del edificio, el material utilizado, la distribución de los espacios interiores dados por las columnas y el espacio entre las dos cúpulas hacen que el Baptisterio cree un increíble efecto de resonancia acústica, más conocido como Eco. Disfruta del sonido que se extiende por todo el espacio, como una onda continua, elevándose en tonalidad hasta el punto de sugerir la presencia de un coro angelical. Cada media hora el personal del Baptisterio realiza una pequeña demostración para los turistas : el efecto es imperdible.

Admira el campanario más famoso del mundo , la Torre Inclinada de Pisa (visita al exterior), conocida mundialmente por su inclinación de casi cuatro grados, fruto de una cimentación inestable. La torre está situada detrás de la Catedral y es la tercera estructura más antigua de la "Piazza dei Miracoli" , después de la catedral y el Baptisterio.
La visita incluye la Galería de la Academia donde en su interior se encuentra el David, la famosa escultura de Miguel Ángel. David de Miguel Ángel en la “Accademia además de la obra de David, también hay otras esculturas y una gran colección de pinturas de artistas florentinos.
La catedral de Santa Maria del Fiore (visita exterior), con su hermosa cúpula proyectada por Brunelleschi, es la catedral de Florencia. La construcción comenzó en 1296, de estilo gótico según un diseño de Arnolfo di Cambio y se completó estructuralmente en 1436, con la cúpula diseñada por Filippo Brunelleschi. El exterior de la basílica está revestido con paneles de mármol policromado en varios tonos de verde y rosa, bordeados de blanco, y tiene una elaborada fachada de estilo neogótico del siglo XIX de Emilio De Fabris.
Junto a la catedral de Santa María del Fiore se encuentra el campanario diseñado por Giotto (visita exterior). El Campanario de Giotto es el majestuoso campanario de la Catedral y una de las obras maestras del gótico italiano. El Campanario tiene una base cuadrada de aproximadamente 15 metros de lado con refuerzos en las esquinas que se elevan hasta la corona en voladizo horizontal situada a una altura de 84,7 metros.
El Baptisterio de San Giovanni (visita exterior) está ubicado en Piazza Duomo, frente a la Catedral de S. Maria del Fiore, es uno de los monumentos más importantes de Florencia. Los orígenes del monumento no son seguros. Se cree que fue construido sobre las ruinas de un antiguo templo romano dedicado al dios Marte alrededor del siglo IV-V d.C. La primera mención se remonta al año 897, cuando se la denominaba basílica. En 1128 se convirtió oficialmente en el baptisterio de la ciudad, donde se llevaba a cabo el rito del bautismo. El baptisterio, que lleva el nombre del santo patrón de la ciudad, se caracteriza por tener planta octogonal, cubierto por una cúpula de ocho tramos cubierta en el exterior por un techo piramidal. El exterior del edificio está decorado con mármol blanco de Carrara y mármol verde de Prato, característicos de la arquitectura románica florentina.
Piazza della Signoria ha estado en el centro de la vida política de Florencia desde el siglo XIV. La Plaza ha visto importantes acontecimientos históricos y grandes triunfos, como el regreso de los Medici en 1530. Las famosas esculturas situadas en la Plaza de la Signoria tienen referencias a los acontecimientos políticos de Florencia. El David (el original se encuentra en la Galería de la Academia) fue creado por Miguel Ángel y colocado frente al Palazzo Vecchio para simbolizar el poder de la República Florentina en contraste con la tiranía de los Medici. Hércules y Cacus (1534) de Bandinelli en cambio simboliza el poder físico de la familia.
Construido cerca de un cruce de época romana, el Ponte Vecchio fue hasta 1218 el único puente que cruzaba el Arno en Florencia. Sobre Ponte Vecchio se puede ver una parte del hermoso Corredor Vasari. Este corredor, construido en 1565 por Giorgio Vasari, pasa justo encima de las orfebrerías que actualmente se levantan a cada lado del puente. Por encargo de los Medici, les permitió trasladarse del Palazzo Vecchio al Palazzo Pitti sin tener que cruzar las calles de Florencia, con total seguridad. En el momento de la construcción del Corredor, las carnicerías estaban reunidas en el Ponte Vecchio, cuya actividad probablemente perturbó el paso de los Medici, que en 1593 hicieron trasladarlas, sustituyéndolas por las orfebrerías más "decorosas".
Piazzale Michelangelo es el punto más evocador de Florencia. Desde aquí se puede admirar toda la ciudad con sus espléndidos monumentos. Esta plaza estuvo dedicada al gran artista renacentista Miguel Ángel y la copia del David se encuentra en el centro de la plaza junto a las cuatro alegorías de las Capillas Medici de San Lorenzo. Malak was very knowledgeable and looked after us like family. It was a very hot day and both Malak and Ronerto were very flexible so we could make the most while staying cool at the same time. We had a fantastic tour with our guide Nariman and driver Roberto! The whole experience was top notch. After doing 2 large group tours, it was a real treat to do this small group one. There were only 4 of us, and that made a huge difference. JB and the driver picked us up from the hotel in a van. It was difficult to get in and out from the back seats and I think the van needed a better suspension as it was a really bumpy ride. We got dropped off at convenient locations and enjoyed everything.

Great tour of both Florence and Pisa. This tour gives you an overview of Florence (which you need 3 days for) and a visit to Pisa. Pisa was wonderful and our guide Agnes showed us the sites and explained everything. She also kept the vendors and others away. Lunch was great. Florence was beautiful. It is a long day but definitely worth it!
