What a perfect way to see Tromso and its surrounding fjords! Kurt (captain) met us on the dock and we left promptly at our tour start time. The catamaran we were on was large, clean, cozy, and beautifully maintained. Kurt was so friendly and welcoming, extremely knowledgeable about not only Tromso, but Norway in general, sharing stories and interesting facts along the way. We sailed out toward the Terpitz (German WWII shipwreck), made a loop around the island, and then came back to the harbor. A perfect way to spend an afternoon in Tromso. Not to be missed!

One of the worst experiences of our lives — avoid this company at all costs. What was advertised as a private luxury tour turned into a complete disaster. We spent eight hours on a boat with no drinks, no food beyond a single bowl of crisps, and absolutely no sense of professionalism. The owner’s brother spent more time talking about his wife’s affair than anything related to the tour, and the skipper was an apprentice who openly argued with him throughout. We witnessed shouting, hostility, and even physical altercations. My wife was so distressed she ended up in tears, and we genuinely felt unsafe for the entire duration. When I raised this with the owner, he admitted this wasn’t the first time issues had occurred with this skipper. His proposed solution? A 30% discount to do the tour again. We live in the UK and had already left — and frankly, we wouldn’t go back even if they paid us. This company completely ruined what should have been a memorable experience. I am now pursuing legal action.

This was meant to be a special occasion, and I regret that it did not feel that way for you. However, for clarity — both for you and for future guests — I would like to address the factual points: • The private tour was completed as agreed • Whales were seen • All standard safety procedures were followed • Safety was maintained at all times • The skipper was fully qualified, not an apprentice • There were no physical altercations of any kind Regarding safety: All guests receive our written safety briefing in advance in up to 15 languages, and the skipper always performs a full verbal safety review before departure. We also demonstrate how to properly put on a life vest for all guests before leaving the harbour. Thermal suits in multiple sizes are always available on board, and you were advised on the correct size as we do for all guests. Regarding food and drinks: We offered to prepare hot soup, but your wife declined this because you were very seasick at the moment. We also served what we normally provide on our private tours: baguettes, hot chocolate, snacks and hot drinks — all available throughout the trip. Regarding the cancelled sauna: When you requested to cancel the private sauna tour, I refunded it immediately and without discussion. The sauna had been fully blocked exclusively for you, which means no other guests were able to book it for that time. I still chose to refund it as an additional gesture of goodwill. When you reached out after the tour, I also offered a discounted private tour with a different skipper — not because the service was undelivered, but because I sincerely hoped to resolve the matter respectfully. I understand that certain moments onboard did not feel ideal for you, and I take that feedback seriously. At the same time, the more serious claims in your review do not reflect what actually occurred during the tour. I genuinely wish you and your wife all the best going forward. An unforgettable experience on the yacht! 🚤✨ The staff were absolutely amazing — so friendly, professional, and welcoming. They explained everything about Norway, its beautiful nature, and local culture in such a nice way. The views of the sea, mountains, and snow were breathtaking. The captain had a bad attitude, swearing and racial discrimination. The whole regiment lasted three hours, the actual fishing time was only 20 minutes, and the rest of the time the captain floated on the boat while on the phone. The final disembarkation did not help, nor did it tell us it was time to disembark, but began to pack up for work on its own. At first it was said that the fish caught could be brought back, and at last it was not given to us.

Very bad experience. The captain was very rude, impatient, said very harsh words when you didn't understand him, and was racist. I cannot recommend anyone else to sail with this captain. I am a foreigner, so even if I was treated very badly, I didn't have the time and opportunity to seek compensation from them. I think the captain took advantage of this and didn't care about the experience of foreign tourists at all. I hope others don't encounter this captain, he will kneel down your travel experience.

We booked this tour well in advance and unfortunately a big storm hit the week of. The company was really nice and proactive about what was going to happen, even at one point offering to switch to a different boat. At the tour time, we set out on the Arctic Queen. Our captain warned the weather wasn't ideal and the swells were high, but honestly we've been in way worse! It did rain and snow a bit during the cruise, but the sun also came out and we saw a rainbow. The changing weather did make it so you saw a different scene every 5 minutes which was fun. And off the stern you were pretty protected from the wind and it was nice place to take it all in. We stopped for a while near the turn around point where we got to go up top and see 360˚views - beautiful even if a bit windy. Some of the other guests tried fishing a bit. Tea and coffee were available throughout the whole cruise. On our way back in, the captain made a fresh fish soup that was delicious and hit the spot after being quite chilly. Thanks for a fun experience even in the rain! We know sometimes weather cancellations are inevitable, but we really appreciated still getting to go out.

It was a great boat ride with some outstanding views of the fjords. The fish soup was truly outstanding that the Captain made, and the conversation with the Captain on his experiences were very memorable ... I highly recommend this trip.
We booked a cruise on the yacht to see fjords and possibly fish. I will say we booked last minute as we had a scheduling snafus with another provider. Instead of the yacht we got a catamaran. The catamaran had more deck space. Turns out the provider overbooked the yacht but we were ok with the change. Our captain was the owner and he was very informative of the history and ecology of the area. However I felt he was stretched thin doing it all. Our cruise was supposed to last 3 hours but we got 2.5. We had a sunny day and the views were great. Enjoyed sitting out front on cat when not going into wind. We did not go into a fjord. Don’t expect it. Still couldn’t get past feeling slightly taken advantage of.
Dear Thanks for nice feedback, and your flexibility jumpoing on our new (2020) catamaran, Sometimes the tide water is on our side both way and give us extra speed, (then the tour can be done faster. But dont worry, we do same tour anyway. I have been do this job for more than 10 years, and are comfortable doing it all alone, as all our skippers do. This is one reason why we probably is are the only company have a "never cancel policy", but trying to do all the best we can for our guests Thanks again fo joining us, best reg Kurt Arild
