Te embarcarás en un tour en grupo de 9 horas desde Lisboa para explorar la región centro-oeste de Portugal. Este tour está limitado a 8 participantes y se realiza íntegramente en Inglés. Su primera parada será en Fátima, uno de los santuarios más significativos del catolicismo, que atrae a más de 6 millones de visitantes cada año. A continuación, visitarás Nazaré, una encantadora ciudad costera conocida por sus impresionantes olas, que son las más grandes jamás surfeadas en el mundo. Aquí tendrás la oportunidad de disfrutar del almuerzo y saborear algunos platos tradicionales Portugueses. Por último, quedarás cautivado por el histórico pueblo de Obidos, que se encuentra entre las paredes de un castillo. La Capilla de las Apariciones es una pequeña capilla en Fátima, que marca el sitio donde tres niños pastores reportaron apariciones de la Santísima Virgen María.
Se detendrá y explorará el Santuario de Fátima durante aproximadamente 1 hora. Fátima es hoy uno de los principales santuarios del catolicismo y es visitado por 6 millones de personas cada año. Se dice que la Virgen María se apareció a tres niños, Lucía, Francisco y Jacinta, todos los meses desde el 13 de mayo de 1917 hasta el 13 de octubre de 1917.
Esta iglesia fue establecida en el siglo XIV cuando el rey Fernando vino en una peregrinación a Nuestra Señora de Nazaré, conmemorando un antiguo milagro atribuido a la intercesión de la Virgen María.
Nazare es una encantadora ciudad pesquera con un montón de lugares para parar y disfrutar de la vista al mar. El centro de la ciudad está lleno de restaurantes de mariscos, por lo que es un gran lugar para probar la cocina local. Situado a 110 metros (360 pies) sobre el océano, esta zona en la cima de un acantilado ofrece vistas impresionantes. Un hito notable es una pequeña capilla construida en 1182 por un noble local, Dom Fuas Roupinho, en agradecimiento a la Virgen María por salvar su vida. Muy cerca se encuentra la iglesia barroca, Igreja de Nossa Senhora da Nazare, que fue construida en el siglo XIV. Visitarás la pequeña capilla de la Hermida da Memoria situada en el borde del acantilado de Nazaré. Ha sido visitado por muchos peregrinos famosos, incluyendo Vasco da Gama.
Praia do Norte recibe algunas de las olas más grandes del mundo. Fue en 2011 que esta playa llegó a los titulares cuando Garrett McNamara surfeó una ola récord de 24 metros aquí.
El Fuerte de Sao Miguel es un fuerte del siglo XVI que fue convertido en faro. Ofrece vistas espectaculares al océano y alberga el Centro de Interpretación del Cañón de Nazaré.
Obidos es una ciudad medieval que fue capturada de los moriscos en 1148. Desde entonces, ha sido una ciudad amurallada, con calles empedradas y casas encaladas adornadas con flores. Fundada en la cima de una colina con vistas al océano, la bahía se fue limando poco a poco, y desde el siglo XV, Obidos ha sido una ciudad sin litoral. Sin embargo, Obidos no se trata solo de su arquitectura medieval; también es conocida por sus animadas fiestas, librerías, pequeños museos y delicias locales como chocolate y ginjinha (un licor de cereza, una porción por persona está incluida en el precio). En los últimos años, Obidos se ha reinventado como centro literario.

We took a day trip to Fatima, Nazare, and Obidos w a family group of 8 (ages 15 -78). Carolina was so kind, charming and informative. What an amazing ambassador of her country! We learned so much about Portuguese history and saw A LOT in a day! If you are short on time and looking for a nice experience to get out of Lisbon… we HIGHLY recommend this tour (AND CAROLINA!!)

We absolutely loved this tour with our tour guide Katerina. She was super informative and answered all of our questions. We got to see parts of Portugal we wouldn’t have found on our own. We would highly recommend taking a tour like this to get the most you can out of a new country!
One of the best tours I have taken after visiting 63 countries. All 3 places were wonderful and the guide, Carolina, was absolutely perfect. Great, fun attitude and beyond helpful. I would HIGHLY recommend this tour.
This tour’s guide was exceptional. Her name was Kat or Katerina! Her level of knowledge was steeped with childhood memories! It’s was the best of the best!
The tour was good and the tour guide was knowledgeable. I felt like the time at Fatima was too short, but I was definitely most interested in Fatima over the other two locations. They offered confessions, but it took a very long time to find an English speaking priest, which ended up taking up most of my time there - waiting. I felt guilty going, and leaving before they could find someone, so I felt like I missed a lot of the Fatima experience. If I go again, I will only go with others who are interested in Fatima mostly - not other locations. If you are going to Nazare, based on the photos advertising the tour showing the big waves, it isn't happening in June/July. Found out a little too late that they are only visible/impressive November through February. There were literally no waves to be seen. Food was good. The statue of Mary breastfeeding is shown as a replica where it was found and you have to pay to see the real one in the church. Obidos was nice - a good break for the ride back. I wouldn't say it was a highlight or that there was anything very special about it. Walking along the ramparts was too dangerous, so we had a drink in a pub. Our guide was very helpful - especially recommending places for the rest of our stay in Lisbon. They were on time and easy to find for the pick-up point. They picked up and dropped off in front of your hotel if that was an option (some hotels aren't located with drop-off/pick up points so there was a short walk)
This was an exceptional experience in every way: Yes, the sites are beautiful and well worth visiting (we've all seen the pictures). But the tour itself is well organized and conducted. The small van is comfortable, air-conditioned, and makes it easy to interact with your fellow travelers. The transitions are planned well - the longest leg of the trip was about 1.5 hours. There is sufficient time at each site to give you a good overview of the highlights (so you can return and explore on your own later if you wish). But for me, the best part of this trip was our tour guide, Catarina. She was very knowledgeable, skilled, professional, yet engaging, funny, personable, and kind. Thank you, dear Cat, and I look forward to another tour with Lisbon Riders the next time I'm in Lisbon.
