Explora una fascinante historia detrás del origen y la caída de Yugoslavia tanto del reino (1918 - 1941) como del comunista (1945 - 1991). Testigo de algunas de las citas que los turistas no conocen y aprenden sobre la compleja historia del siglo XX de esta región y entienden el colapso de Yugoslavia en la década de 1990. Verás el Obelisco de los Países No Alineados, el antiguo campo de concentración "Staro Sajmište", la oficina política del expresidente de Yugoslavia Josip Broz Tito y el monumento Llama Eterna que conmemoró un aniversario de los bombardeos de la OTAN contra Serbia en 1999. Será un recorrido a pie de dos horas, así que se recomienda calzado cómodo :)

Nos reuniremos frente al Obelisco de los Países No Alineados, que se construyó en 1961 en el apogeo de la Guerra Fría.
Camine por el puente Brakov y disfrute de la orilla del río y el paseo marítimo de Belgrado.
Testigo de una historia oscura detrás de cierta área de la ciudad que incluso los lugareños descuidan.
Pase junto al brutalista Blok 21.
Camine hacia una de las oficinas políticas más importantes de la ex Yugoslavia, sede del Presidente Josip Broz Tito.
Termine el recorrido en el Parque de la Amistad donde se encuentra el monumento Llama Eterna y camine de regreso hacia el puente.

Aleks is a great tour guide who shows you things you'd never imagine to see, and tells you so many interesting facts. It helps you understand how Serbia is today and everything that happened in the past. This is a very informative tour crossing the bridge and learning a lot; definitely a tour for people with an interest in history, wars and the changing borders of Serbia and Yugoslavia. I would love to do another tour with Aleks sometime, as he is extremely passionate and knowledgeable. Reccomend 100%
Our guide Alexsandar was very good! Very knowledgable and passionate about the topic. We did see the site of the concentration camp and a mural to it but the “walking tour” aspect was enjoyable because we could chat as a group and with the leader. You don’t necessarily visit many places if that makes sense? Would still highly recommend

Aleksander is an energetic and engaging guide. He has a depth of knowledge about the history of the region and is great at communicating what is a complicated history! I came into the tour knowing almost nothing and feel like I learned so much. I highly recommend this tour!
To know something in its current state is to understand its history. This holds true for Serbia and its capital city, Belgrade; a lively yet gritty town. After having done a little bit of research on the history of Serbia and the former Yugoslavia prior to traveling there, my boyfriend and I decided it would be neat to find an experience to fill in some of the gaps. And indeed, Aleksander did just that. He curated a very cool walking tour of places we would have never found ourselves to help inform attendees about major historical milestones that lead up to the creation of Yugoslavia, and ultimately its downfall. All of it told with the expertise and nuance of someone very passionate about the subject. I would recommend this tour to anyone interested in history, politics, or seeking the unexpected.
I recommend this tour to you. Aleksandar is passionate and therefore fascinating. My children liked it a lot too. His English is very clear and even I, who do not have a very good level, was able to follow everything. This tour showed things that we would never have seen without Aleksandar. He allows you to take a trip into the past with a lot of enthusiasm, to better understand the present. I recommend you.
A fun and engaging tour by a knowledgeable and articulate guide who speaks excellent English. More than the history of Serbia under communism, this is a history of Serbia itself with helpful supporting maps. While presented from a Serbian point of view - others might disagree with some of the opinions expressed - that’s to be expected in this locale and Aleksandar is welcoming of other perspectives. Highly recommended.
We enjoyed getting to understand and experience life and history during Communist times with Aleksandar, especially because he offered us a Serbian perspective of history, which was very refreshing. The maps he used for his explanations were accurate and on point, and the spots visited were really interesting. I would absolutely recommend this visit to anyone who wants to dig deeper into the history of Serbia.
Aleks is a very nice and good guide, who gives very good perspectives of the past history, and the future, for Serbia and Belgrade. If you are considering a guiding tour, I would recommend this one.
