I took the ferry to the Elephant Caves and when I arrived, Nikhil asked me if I’d be interested in a guided tour. At first I thought I could manage on my own, but after hearing about the tour, I decided to go with him – and I haven’t regretted it! Nikhil took a lot of time to explain all the details about the caves, as well as giving me lots of information about the gods and Hinduism. I was impressed by all the knowledge he shared with me. I can highly recommend the tour with Nikhil, a local guide who lives on the island himself. On the other hand, you miss out on a lot of information, which I personally find a real shame!

Nikhil showed us around the caves today. He was extremely informative and as a local knew every little detail, while charging a fair price. He took photos of us in recommended spots and took time at each statue to explain the stories. He also answered questions about the caves and also Mumbai in general. Excellent English speaker and could not recommend higher.

Nikhil was a fabulous and very helpful tour guide. Explained the history of the main cave with great detail, his English was also very good which obviously made it much easier. As a local I would definitely recommend him to be your guide. 10/10!!!!
