Wat Phra That Doi Tung, o Wat Phra Maha Chin That Chao, es un templo ubicado en el condado de Mae Sai, Chiang Rai. Probablemente fue construido en el período del rey Achutharat de Yonoknakphan. Es famoso por tener las reliquias de la clavícula del Señor Buda, que fueron transportadas directamente desde la India. La leyenda dice que, hace aproximadamente 1,000 años, Mahākāśyapa y el rey Achutharat de Yonoknakphan, junto con sus sirvientes, fueron las personas que llevaron las reliquias al lugar.

Excellent tour. We enjoyed the White Temple and very much enjoyed the gallery museum there. We also enjoyed the city market and the Blue Temple.

Our tour guides were awesome! They took us to several different local temples and explained everything about them. They also took us to a local market and taught us a lot about the different food.
