Aprende sobre las técnicas de construcción tradicionales, algunas de ellas utilizadas desde los tiempos del Rey. Experimenta las formas tradicionales de construcción en Ruanda con una comunidad local por un día.

Itinerario
El día comienza con una sesión informativa en la oficina antes de dirigirse al pueblo, ser recibido por los artesanos y dirigirse a la casa familiar del artesano que es su anfitrión durante el día. Por la mañana irá a buscar agua o le ayudará con la preparación de la comida. Luego se trata de aprender técnicas de construcción rural, incluida la fabricación de cuerdas de banano y ladrillos de barro. Los artesanos te mostrarán cómo realizar la actividad y trabajarán junto a ti. Luego almuerza (platos típicos de Ruanda, por ejemplo, yuca y frijoles). Este es un buen momento para preguntarles a sus anfitriones sobre la vida en su comunidad. Es posible que también tengan preguntas para usted sobre la vida en su país de origen. Por la tarde podrá utilizar las técnicas tradicionales aprendidas por la mañana para construir la sombra de los animales domésticos, una cerca o una casa. Luego regrese a la oficina para tomar una bebida fría y tendrá la oportunidad de comprar regalos y recuerdos. I took my boys (6 and 8) on the traditional construction experience day. Making bricks and laying some, which had been prepared earlier, was the highlight of their introductory trip to Africa. One of my boys slipped and scraped his knee playing football with the local kids, and the Azizi representatives quickly pulled out a full first aid kit and were clearly well trained in using it. Very impressive. Lunch was very tasty too! This is not just a kids activity, though. The adults in our group all benefited and greatly enjoyed; it is very much an activity for adults without children too!

Overall wonderful experience. Super responsive and willing to tailor the content since we were the only two on the tour. Thoughtful answers to all our many questions. Our guide was wonderful about taking pictures for use. The cost does not include transport but Azizi was able to arrange that as well .
We had a really great experience with the "host family". We got there early in the morning, started preparing lunch together, went to fetch water, played with the children, made mud bricks, built the start of a rabbit house, had lunch, danced and had a really good time. The women in the cooperative were so welcoming and open and very curious about our life back home. The translator was really helpful and we were so grateful that he just translated what was said and not interpreting or giving us direct answer. It all felt very authentic and fun! Would recommend it to all my friends!
