Our guides were both fantastic!Very informative tour! The pace was good and the length was good!Would recommend the combo tour!
A lot of walking but certainly worth it! We learnt about the Tennis Centre, the surrounding courts and the arenas. Catherine was very interesting and shared a vast amount of knowledge of the area and her personal experiences with celebrity tennis players. The MCG tour was also interesting and we were able to see allowed behind the scene areas.
Very knowledgeable tour guide, easy to chat with, personable gentleman with great communication skills. Plenty to hear about, historical & sporting information & very interesting information.
Had a great nearly 4 hour tour with Ben. He is friendly, among the most knowledgeable about sports in Australia I have ever met, and conducted a tour with lots of walking, historical knowledge, and the tour was very well paced. I am a huge tennis fan and was not expecting so much of the tour to be centered around tennis and the Australian Open, but the insider tour of the MCG was amazing - seeing the "members only" and corporate boxes was an amazing experience.
Engaging and very well-informed guide for the first part, very accommodating throughout. MCG tour guide was also great, good sense of humor.
Excellent Tour Guide which made the tour very enjoyable The guide was very knowledgeable and very friendly Melbourne truly is the sporting capital of the world and this tour re-affirms that.
The first part of the tour was awesome! It was very informative and our guide was so friendly, knowledgeable, and even offered to take photos! The MCG tour was lacking a bit. Although our guide was great, we didn’t see quite a few things because there was a concert so they closed off a lot of the tour. If you do book make sure it’s available for the the entire grounds.
There’s a fair bit of walking involved so go prepared with a comfortable pair of shoes or trainers - and on a hot day take plenty of water / drinks. There is a cafe at the MCG but this is toward the end of the tour. Our walking guide Greg was very friendly and knowledgeable on the various sporting venues - the pace of the tour was just right and allowed plenty of time to chat and ask questions and to take photos along the way. Once at the MCG, we were handed over to David, an MCG member who was also very knowledgeable on the subject matter and a great enthusiast on the game. It’s a very worthwhile tour and would highly recommend it - whether you’re a sports fan or not!
I had just the most amazing time on the tour. Cathy was absolutely incredible and I had such a wonderful time listening to her different stories. This is an absolute must do tour for a fan of sports. It was an absolute pleasure to be on the tour today, and I hope others enjoy the tour as well
Our guide was Katherine and she was definitely a very engaged expert about sports life in general and tennis in particular as has worked in the Australian Open team for many years. I would totally recommend this. She left us at the MCG for us to participate in their own tour; My only reservation is with the management team at he tour provider. They had notified me when I made the reservation about a month ago that the time would be changed to 12h30. When it came time to go, I looked at Viator and the tour was back at 1 PM. A reminder to my WhatsApp about that change would have been so helpful. We left drinks behind that we had just purchased and missed the first 30 minutes of the tour.
