*Los participantes necesitan mostrar identificación con fotografía para ingresar al Museo Judío de Curazao. * El Mikve Israel-Emmanuel, consagrado en 1732. Mikve Israel, es el edificio de sinagoga más antiguo todavía en pie y en uso continuo en el hemisferio occidental. Museo Judío de Curazao, contar la historia de la comunidad judía desde su llegada en 1651 y la nueva adición de la exposición de la Segunda Guerra Mundial con el héroe de guerra nativo de Curazao George Maduro y Ana Frank. En 1932, los judíos asquenazíes fundaron un centro social (Club Unión) y su propio club deportivo. Una sinagoga permanente no llegó hasta mucho más tarde, en 1959. Se llamaba "Shaarei Tsedek", Puertas de la Justicia y estaba ubicada en una villa en Scharloo (Scharlooweg 39-41) cerca del centro de Willemstad, cerca de Punda.

My wife and I are currently on a cruise, and today we stopped in Curacao. Sharon had booked a 4-hour guided Jewish Heritage Tour that she was really looking forward to. I mainly went because I knew how much she wanted to do it, but Ralph, our guide, made it far more interesting and enjoyable than I expected. In fact, we both had a really good time. Ralph did a terrific job bringing the history, culture, and stories of Curacao’s Jewish community to life. He was knowledgeable, engaging, and clearly passionate about the subject. We both learned a lot and genuinely enjoyed the experience. If you have any interest in history, culture, or the Jewish heritage of Curacao, we would absolutely recommend this tour — and especially Ralph as your guide.

Our guide for the day was Ralph Luidens. He is the friendliest, most hospitable man I have ever met on a vacation. We booked a tour for 3 couples and he was accommodating to increase the tour from 4 to 6 passengers. He allowed us to change the start time. He stayed in touch with me throughout the planning process. Just a pleasure to deal with. The tour was informative and he didn’t rush us from place to place. He knew the history and made the trip very interesting. No matter the tour, I recommend you try to find Ralph as your taxi/tour guide.

Ralph was very knowledgable- and entertaining. One of the best Trip Advisor supported tours we’ve ever been on. Transportation was comfortable and driving excellent. Ralph even went with us and assisted us within those places that had automated tours. And allowed plenty of time to view the exhibits at the sites. Highly recommended!!!!!!

Ralph was extremely knowledgeable! He took us around to see and experience some of the Jewish history of the island! We were visiting the island to celebrate our daughter's recent Bat Mitzvah. He showed us some of the history on the island, showed us historical sites and took us to two museums. Our favorite was the Mikvé Israel-Emanuel Synagogue with the attached Jewish Museum. If you are interested in some history of the island this is tour is must!

Ralph was an excellent tour guide! He is extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of the island and knows the history of the Jews on Curaçao going back to the 1600’s. From the cemetery, the distillery, the museum and the synagogue, he knows it all. We even had an opportunity to meet the rabbi who showed a genuine interest in us as guests to the island. I strongly recommend anyone who has an interest in Curaçao and the influence of the Jewish people to book this tour. It was well worth the time and money.
