Hacer turismo en Atenas comienza con la colina de la Acrópolis, que le alegrará el día. En la colina histórica, tendrá la oportunidad de ver el Odeón de Herodes Atticus, el Templo de Atenea Nike, la puerta monumental (Propilea), el Erecteo y, por supuesto, el famoso Partenón, el templo principal dedicado a la diosa virgen Atenea .
El Propileo es la entrada monumental al área sagrada dedicada a Atenea, la diosa patrona de la ciudad. Construido por el arquitecto Mnesicles con mármol pentelico, su diseño fue vanguardista. Al suroeste de la Propylaea, en una muralla que protege la entrada principal a la Acrópolis, se encuentra el templo jónico de Apteros Nike.

El Teatro de Dioniso Elefthereus es uno de los principales teatros de Atenas, considerado el primer teatro del mundo, construido a los pies de la Acrópolis ateniense.
El Odeón de Herodes Atticus es una estructura de teatro romano de piedra ubicada en la ladera suroeste de la Acrópolis de Atenas, Grecia. El edificio se completó en 161 DC y luego se renovó en 1950.
Después de la Acrópolis, nos dirigiremos hacia el Templo de Zeus, el templo más grande de la antigüedad, dedicado al Rey de los Dioses, a través del Arco de Adriano.
Visitaremos el Estadio Panatenaico donde se celebraron los primeros Juegos Olímpicos modernos en 1896.
Luego, trasladándonos al centro histórico de la ciudad, subiremos por la colina más alta de Atenas, la colina Licabeto, donde tendrá la mejor vista panorámica de la ciudad, desde la colina de la Acrópolis hasta el mar Egeo.
Veremos el cambio de guardia (Euzones) frente al antiguo palacio, que hoy es la Casa del Parlamento, sobre la plaza central de Atenas.
La plaza Syntagma es la plaza central de Atenas. La plaza lleva el nombre de la Constitución que Otto, el primer rey de Grecia, se vio obligado a otorgar después de un levantamiento popular y militar el 3 de septiembre de 1843.
El Parlamento helénico, en griego conocido como Voulí ton Ellínon, es el parlamento de Grecia, ubicado en el antiguo palacio real, con vistas a la plaza Syntagma en Atenas. En el camino pasando pueblos costeros y la isla de Salamina (conjunto de la histórica batalla naval entre los atenienses y los persas). Nuestra primera pausa en el Canal de Corinto. Finalmente se abrió en 1892 separando la península del Peloponeso del resto de Grecia mientras conectaba el Golfo Sarónico con el Mar de Corinto. A great day spent with a fantastic guide! Theodore (our guide) was knowledgeable and planned the perfect private tour for my mother and me. After picking us up at our hotel in a very clean and comfortable car we drove to Corinth. All along the way (about an hour), Theodore pointed out things of interest and answered all our questions. After visiting Corinth and the museum on our own he drove us to the top for beautiful photos. He then took us to a wonderful restaurant (Marinos)and joined us for a delicious lunch of traditional Greek foods. After a leisurely lunch with a wonderful breeze we returned to the car and made our way back to our hotel. The 6+ hour tour went by so quickly. We travel quite a bit and Theodore is one of the best guides we ever spent time with. Highly recommend!!!

My family and I had an amazing day! Our wonderful guide Theodore was so gracious and knowledgeable. We toured Athens and decided to take a trip to Corinth. Theodore was more than willing to help us and drove us to beautiful country and sea side sites. He was always punctual and gave us plenty of time to tour areas like the Acropolis and museums. He even stopped for some souvenir purchases. My family and I made beautiful memories exploring Athens and Theodore was a huge part of making it all happen!

What a great experience, thanks to Babis for creating a memorable day. The early slowpoke drive to Corinth was due to unexpected rush hour traffic, but Babis made the most of our time once we reached the archeological ruins. It was amazing to see the museum and several sites that were still distinguishable. Onward to Athens, we were given precise instructions about where to meet back after Acropolis stop. The inclines and rocky surfaces were perfectly managed by us four golden agers, and once on top, the amazing ruins did not disappoint. Babis suggested a lunch stopping point, but we indicated that we'd wait until returning to the ship. Babis strategically used the ample remaining time to drive past many wonderful landmarks including the Zeus Temple, the Presidential Palace, The Panathenaic Stadium, Athens City Hall, Hellenic Parliament, Tomb of the Unknown Soldier (with changing of the guard), The National Library and other significant sites. It was a win-win day for all of us and the October cooler weather was a bonus, too.
