Itinerario
El recorrido comienza con la visita de la capital maltesa, Valletta, después de la recogida en Barraca Gardens para disfrutar de vistas únicas del Gran Puerto. Es hora de una foto frente al Auberge de Castille, antigua sede de los Caballeros Templarios provenientes de Castilla y ahora hogar del Primer Ministro maltés. Proceda a la Catedral de San Juan, donde se pueden encontrar obras maestras de Caravaggio.
Después de visitar Valletta, visitará el área de las Tres Ciudades, llamada así por las imponentes fortificaciones que han protegido las ciudades de Senglea, Vittoriosa y Cospicua a lo largo de los siglos, ubicadas en el lado opuesto del Gran Puerto justo en frente de Valletta. Recorrido panorámico con una parada en los jardines de Gardjola en Senglea, donde se puede admirar una vista impresionante del gran puerto, antes de continuar a Birgu-Vittoriosa para un breve recorrido a pie por este pequeño pueblo característico que aún conserva el auténtico espíritu maltés.
El recorrido continúa hasta el característico puerto pesquero de Marsaxlokk, donde después de un corto paseo junto al mar para admirar los característicos barcos llamados luzzu, tendrá un almuerzo típico de pescado en un restaurante en el puerto. En el camino, deténgase en el punto panorámico desde el que admirar la famosa Gruta Azul de Malta. Tiempo libre para tomar algunas fotos y continuar hacia los templos megalíticos cercanos.
Parada y visita opcional a los templos megalíticos de Hagar Qim y Mnejidra, las construcciones megalíticas más evocadoras de Malta y datadas antes de las Pirámides de Egipto. En caso de que desee visitar el recorrido, el guía se encargará de acompañarlo y mostrarle este sitio verdaderamente único. En caso de que no desee visitar los templos, continuaremos hacia los acantilados de Dingli para tomar una foto panorámica.
A continuación visitamos la ciudad medieval de Mdina. Mdina está construida sobre una meseta en el centro de la isla, los antiguos edificios barrocos de la ciudad, la catedral y los magníficos muros del bastión dominan el horizonte rural. Mdina, una vez que la capital de Malta hasta que se construyó la moderna ciudad de La Valeta en 1566, ha tenido muchos nombres, incluidos Melite, Medina (ocupación árabe), Citta Notabile y Citta Vecchia (después de la construcción de Valletta). Hoy también se la conoce como la Ciudad Silenciosa ya que inspira tranquilidad a cualquier hora del día o de la noche. My wife and I had a recent Italian and Malta holiday and Soleto Travel through Omar arranged the Malta accommodation and private car transport and day trip arrangements. A week in mid Sept of convenience with airport and hotel pick up, day tours with guides to see all the beautiful Malta highlights, a country with such a rich history. Safe driver and informative guides along with excellent accommodation at Hotel Juliani, Spinola Bay. Omar also arranged for a pick up at Pisa airport, visit and lunch in Lucca and car transfer to Florence. I just wanted to thank my amazing tour guide (Charmaine) and driver (Johnathan) for showing me around the beautiful islands of Malta. The two-day tour experience Charmaine and John provided was OUTSTANDING and I cannot speak highly enough of them both. Charmaine was extremely knowledgeable, kind and attentive. She worked hard to tailor the information and service she provided to my interests. Johnathan was professional, reliable and his vehicle was clean and comfortable. Malta is a very special place to visit and by the end of the two days I felt I had some lovely memories to take away and had made some new friends. Our tour guide and driver were INCREDIBLE! She was so knowledgeable and due to her being a local, she was able to take us to places that were less traveled. This allowed us to stand or sit and take in the sights for as long as we wanted to. She was very thoughtful and took ample pictures of us. Our driver had wet wipes in the car. TIP: carry tissue for the toilets and hand sanitizer as often there is no toilet paper or soap in bathrooms. We had two additional stops that weren’t on the itinerary but they were serene and places the tour guide and driver frequent in their personal time. We got to overlook the Blue Lagoom vs. being in the crowds and pulled over to the side of the road for a panoramic view of Mdina! WORTH EVERY PENNY! Please tip your tour guide and driver.
We arranged two full-day private sightseeing tours with Soleto, one in advance of arriving in Malta and the other after we arrived. They were easy to work with via email and WhatsApp. We were impressed with the knowledgeable and personable guides and drivers and the cleanliness and comfort of their vehicles. At the end of each day we felt like we'd had a rich Malta experience and had made new friends.
Our tour of Valletta and pre-history sites was amazing. Our guide, Julia, has exceptional knowledge of the history of Malta. Alex our driver did a great job navigating. We enjoyed a delicious lunch too!
We couldn't have asked for more on this incredible adventure through Maltese history which Dennis brought to life so vividly. He was a responsive tour guide, answering our off the cuff questions with friendly ease. And our driver was terrific. This company went out of their way to accommodate our requests, and were very good at communication.
Guide Dennis and driver Jonathan were excellent! Dennis was so knowledgeable, interesting and fun. It was raining (rare on Malta), so we had to improvise and make the best of it. Dennis was cheerful and kept us dry by creatively changing up the tour. He had the right balance of being with us and giving us privacy. Lunch was excellent at a “local flavor” place filled with locals. We learned a lot and had a great day! Highly recommend!
My husband it a history buff and loved the background and stories that Dennis (our guide) provided as he led us through this magnificent city! I did not know much about Malta before this tour and I absolutely fell in love with the architecture and history of this area. If you want a thorough comprehensive tour Dennis is your man!
