Had the best day and experience with Andrew on our full-day private city tour! Andrew was such a great guide who was very friendly and knowledgeable. The tour was flexible and could be tailored to what we wanted to see and do. We visited the Genocide memorial, 2 art museums/stores, markets, lookouts of the city and had a yummy traditional lunch at the Heaven Boutique Hotel. Thanks Andrew for making it a wonderful day!
This ranks as the best day tour I have ever taken and all thanks to the exceptionally generous tour guide Junior Muvunyi. Junior introduced himself prior to the tour and up until he collected me from the hotel. He checked to see what I would be interested in and then made them happen. My focus on human rights initiatives meant a visit to two sites that dealt with the Rwanda genocide. In addition to these was a visit to an Arts space where we met artists working with multimedia and then a visit to Agaseke Centre where women created opportunities for dignity to better lives with art. A delicious lunch with amazing service at Heaven’s restaurant. The vehicle was comfortable as he drove us all around Kigali. But his conversation, his kind words and his inspiring conversation made this tour absolutely exceptional! Thank you.

We had a wonderful experience and got to see all that Kigali has to offer. Our guide, Junior, was the best guide I’ve ever worked with. He went above and beyond to make sure that each person in the group received a customized experience. He has tremendous knowledge of the city…sites to see, short cuts to avoid traffic, great places to eat etc…as well as a passion for facilitating the most special experience possible for his guests. Our overall experience with Heaven Experiences was spectacular and I highly recommend both the company and Junior specifically. We hope to be back next year and will definitely be working with Heaven and requesting Junior to be our guide!
We had Junior as our driver for our entire time in Kigali, and he was a highlight of our trip! He had so much to share and was super helpful with picking us up on short notice. If you need a driver around Kigali, Junior is definitely the best guy for the job!
I had a wonderful and exciting tour with Andrew he explain everything to me that I didn’t have knowledge of about Rwanda. I will be back and hopefully I can get Andrew as my tour guide.
We booked this trip while staying at the Retreat. Apollo picked us up and brought us all around the city. We started with the Genocide Museum which, in a word, is impactful. You simply must visit it and I wish everyone in the world could visit it. Afterwards, we went to a large variety of local shops where skilled craftspeople and artists were creating and selling their works. We had lunch at Heaven’s restaurant, then went to the market. The tour was a great way to see a lot in a day. Don’t forget to bring cash! Most places took credit card, but cash was needed for the market.
I can't start this review without mentioning how excellent our tour guide, Oscar, was. He was so warm and professional, and made it his mission for my family to have the best experience possible. The entire tour was a memorable one with a lot to learn about Rwanda and her people. Lunch at the Heaven experience was a good way to try out the local dishes and we were not disappointed.
What an amazing day we had with Oscar. He was incredible and made the day so informative and enjoyable with a knowledge guide. I would highly recommend him to anyone visiting Kigali!
Our driver-guide, Oscar, was an excellent drive and, even better, a superb guide and representative of the best in Rwanda. We had options for the final hours and he suggested showing us how Rwanda had developed. Highly recommended. I would give ten stars if it were an option.
