Soy Zura, y ofrezco una excursión de día completo a algunas de las maravillas más emblemáticas de Georgia, comenzando desde Tbilisi. Nos encontraremos en su hotel a las 9 de la mañana, y comenzaremos con una visita al monasterio de Jvari del siglo VI, un importante centro religioso y obra maestra de la arquitectura de la Georgia medieval. La iglesia se eleva sobre el sitio de Mtskheta declarado Patrimonio de la Humanidad por la UNESCO. Continuamos hacia la Catedral de Svetitskhoveli, el lugar de sepultura de la túnica de Cristo. En Gori, ciudad natal de Iósif Stalin, visitamos el impresionante museo del líder histórico de la Unión Soviética. Almuerzo después (no incluido). El nombre de este monasterio se traduce como el "Monasterio de la Cruz." El monasterio de Jvari es el monasterio ortodoxo georgiano del siglo VI cerca de Mtskheta. Junto con otras estructuras históricas de Mtskheta, está catalogado como patrimonio de la humanidad por la UNESCO. El monasterio de Jvari se encuentra en la cima de una montaña rocosa en la confluencia de los ríos Mtkvari y Aragvi, con vistas a la ciudad de Mtskheta, que anteriormente era la capital del reino de Iberia.
Una obra maestra de la arquitectura georgiana del siglo XI. Cerca de 10 - 15 minutos a pie del aparcamiento. Mtskheta, una de las ciudades más antiguas de Georgia, fue fundada por las antiguas tribus mesquias en el siglo V. We decided to book this Tour to explore a bit more of the history and culture outside of Tiblisi. Zura was an excellent guide, we felt at ease with him from start to finish and we left the tour with a much better understanding and feel for the people, history and culture. Everything was on time, communication was great, car comfortable. Would highly reccomend you book this tour, you won't regret it and the context made the rest of our time in Tiblisi more enjoyable. I took my wife and kids to Georgia for a long weekend and we only had time for one guided tour. I'm glad I chose this one. We really got to see a lot of the attractions around Tbilisi. The visit to the Chronicles at the end of the day was amazing, as we had the sunset there. Zura is not just a guide and driver, he is a compassionate and thoughtful man with a great sense of humour. We had a lot of fun together and I hope to see him again one day. The Georgian driving style is a little different than what we are used to, but Zura navigated and drove in a manner that made us feel safe even though the other drivers don't really seem to follow any rules. Overall, it was a great day for both us parents and our teenagers.

Zura is a great guide with a lot of knowledge, but also charisma. He made the trip a lot more fun than what I can imagine most guides do. He is also a very safe and smart driver, especially compared to the average Georgian driver, which have a quite different driving style than what we are used to from Europe. Zura made sure we always felt safe on the road, and I highly recommend his service
