Ricky, our tour guide, was exceptional. He arrived at the Incheon terminal before our meeting time, and was courteous and friendly. He is very knowledgeable and showed us around Seoul. He arranged an excellent lunch of Korean BBQ for us. Most importantly, he made sure we didn’t get lost during our free times. We ran into him during our free times and he took us back to the car. This is important because of our unfamiliarity with the city, and the many side streets that were present. Overall, we had an excellent time
Song was very accommodating and informative, and his van was immaculate. He did a good search of the van before we left, and my camera was on the floor. Very appreciated.
We met our guide, JK Lim, right on time at the cruise terminal in Incheon and had an informative, comfortable drive to Seoul. JK took us to all the places we were interested in visiting. Not only was JK friendly and knowledgeable, but was also an excellent photographer and driver. We particularly enjoyed our visit to the Gyongbokgung Palace, where JK provided us with a wealth of historical information. We would definitely recommend JK as a guide to anyone wishing to visit Seoul!
An wonderful one-day tour. Won is an excellent guide who communicates in fluent English. He took us to all the interesting spots of the city and let us know the interesting history. All in all it is a very enjoyable tour.
This was incredible tour, I would highly recommend it . Our guide was very knowledgeable and helpful.
We had an overnight in Incheon and took cruise line's excursion of Seoul on the first day. Then on the second day (last day of the cruise) we used Joy Tour for Seoul excursion, seeing places we have not seen on the first day. At the end of the day they dropped us off with our luggage at Seoul Hotel where we stayed for a few more days. Excellent experience with Joy Tour. Now we know we should have used them on the first day in Incheon as well because there was no concern of getting back to the ship in time for departure. Private tour (we had 10 people) is so much more efficient than sharing a tour bus with 40 other people, and it is not more expensive either. Highly recommend them!
Fantastic tour and guide. Moon was the guide and was very patient, especially when us ladies did alot of shopping, he was very informative and knowledgeable. Recommend Moon for anyone taking this excursion.
We had a wonderful 2 day tour in Seoul with Moonhak Song of Joy Tour Korea. He spoke perfect English, was a wonderful driver, shared lots of history and local knowledge about the area and sites we visited and really listened when we shared our interests. The next day he had looked up different shopping, Korean BBQ spots, etc. and took us there. He was a really nice, fun, interesting guide and we highly recommend this experience.
We were picked up at the port in Incheon and driven to Seoul, our first stop being at a Temple where the guards were changing. Normally I'm not a big "guard changing" fan, but this was different and of a much grander scale with more pageantry than I typically am forced to endure..........and I actually liked it! (Of course the Mrs. liked it, she's more normal and enjoys such things typically) The tour was just for the 2 of us, and we were driven around in a comfortable vehicle. A kind female driver, who understood English very good but was reluctant to speak it, and our tour guide who spoke English, albeit with a pronounced accent. Interesting fellow for sure, glad to have met him and proud that we could keep pace with him, as he is capable of walking at a fast click. After the ceremony, we toured the Palace itself, and wow oh wow, is this place fascinating. We left here and walked to a lane of old traditional homes nearby that are scenically nestled along an inclined walkway. Very nice. Next we visited an area of many shops, and had lunch here, as it was included in our tour. From here we went to a HUGE market and meandered around......this place was truly an amazing spectacle. As we left this area, our guide said his goodbyes to us and the driver escorted us back to the ship. Be advised that it is over 1 hour to drive from the port to Seoul, so it's wise to take some sort of a tour from the port. No viable public transportation is available. From start to finish, we were very happy with our entire day with Joy Tours. We never got the feeling that they were just "doing their job".......we felt like the most important customers that they ever had, for the entire day! The day was easily adjusted as we went along to match our interests (mainly in photography) with the itinerary. (I'll include some photos) Even before we had to call and ask for the driver to return to the ship about 15 minutes after dropping us off because we had forgotten our GoPro in the car, we were thrilled with our experience with these folks. But the ease in which we were able to retrieve our camera still puts a huge smile on my face as I write about it in this review. We would most highly recommend to our friends (who we like) that they use this tour operator if ever given the chance. I think they are a smaller operator, so I'd suggest booking them as far in advance as you are able.
