Augustow es una de las ciudades más bellas de Polonia. Está ubicado en el río Netta y el canal Augustow y está rodeado por los hermosos lagos Necko, Biale y Rospuda. Paisajes pintorescos, comida tradicional increíble, canales, aire limpio y agua en los lagos, relajantes bosques de pinos y abetos, naturaleza virgen y gente amable: Augustow es el único lugar donde puedes encontrarlo todo. Salida desde Vilna hacia Polonia. Se tarda unas 2,5 horas en llegar a Augustow.
Llegada a la ciudad vieja de Augustow. Paseo turístico por la parte histórica de la ciudad.
Disfruta de las vistas panorámicas mientras das un paseo en barco por el canal de Augustow.
Almuerzo de cocina tradicional polaca. Elegimos un lugar para almorzar dependiendo de las necesidades de los viajeros.
Salida de Polonia de regreso a Vilnius.

The driver was very keen to introduce a lot of local landscapes along the way, so we could get a better understanding of Poland and Lithuania. Although it was raining on that day, it was an unforgettable journey to happen to have local events, a lively market and performances, and free apples. The along-the-route guide introduces we bought fresh forested mushrooms and blueberries.
Special day traveling to Augustow. Martynas was a fantastic guide and very knowledgeable. Each stop was fantastic and enjoyable.

I visited Lithuania in early April, staying for 8 days in Vilnius. Vilnius is an incredible city, but I wanted to see some of the surrounding area. I took a day trip to Poland and the Augustow Canal. My guide was Marty (Martynas), one of the best trip guides I have ever had. He spoke English very well, was knowledgeable, kind, patient and had incredible stories and anecdotes. He quickly understood what I was interested in and tailored my trip to my particular interests while staying in the basic outline of the tour. We stopped in a small town on the way and were lucky enough to tour a synagogue and yeshiva. The history of this particular site was heartbreaking and enlightening, and Marty was well versed in all the details. The canal was intriguing, we met some locals who I will never forget. On the way back we stopped at an enchanting chapel deep in the woods. The chapel, in particular, honored a visit made by pope John Paul II in 1999. Interesting history. We stopped for a great lunch while in Poland. I recommend this tour wholeheartedly, especially request Marty as your guide. He is smart, knows all the history, but has an engaging personality with a great sense of humor, a must in my book. I love Lithuania and hope to return in the future.
