A very interesting and thought provoking drive into the mountains after the earthquake, seeing the devastation to the houses and rock slides everywhere. Very friendly and good driver, picked up from our hotel. Tea and cakes when we arrived at the destination. Very pretty trek into the mountains with amazing scenery. We could go at our own pace to take in the views. Everyone was very friendly, and told us about the area, weather, how people live, very interesting conversations. Extremely tasty and large healthy lunch after the track. A fabulous day out.
This was a full day, definitely a great trip but seriously wear the right trekking gear. Trainers is a must! we really did climb and we were not fully prepared lol. It's great experience, I thought the waterfalls would be bigger, the final one is nice to see. Berber village was lovely to visit. We had great food. Check that it is included in your deal and keep receipts with you when you book with a tour guide.
My partner has already wrote a review of a 5 star rating , however due to the excellent service and overall excellent experience I will also provide the following review. The driver was extremely professional, very welcoming and knowledgable about the local area, also allowing us to stop throughout the valley to take photographs of the breath taking scenery. Thereafter we was met with a tour guide who took us through the valley and alongside the Atlas mountains who ensured we experience the Berber village culture. Lastly, we stopped of at a river side restaurant with great food and was then driven back to our hotel. Fantastic trip and I would recommend to anyone who is interested in mountain trekking and culture. 5 stars!
We took this trip Tuesday this week and our driver was very professional and had excellent English. He gave us a breakdown of the city as we drove through. We stopped for photographs and he also said to ask him to stop if we wanted to see anything in particular as we went up the Atlas Mountains. We stopped at a Berber house and was shown how argan oil and nut butter was made. We then got introduced to a tour guide where we trekked to see the waterfalls. He was lovely and helped us at difficult stages of the rock climbing. Trainers required and we are pretty fit and active but loved it. To finish off lunch was included and this was in a quaint restaurant on the river and this part was worth the money paid for the tour as the food was excellent and healthy plus the surroundings were amazing. Some diners even dined in the stream. Overall great service and great driver. Five stars
