The Romantic Road Private tour was spectacular. Who knew towns of this age and architecture would still be standing and relevant today. The food at the restaurants were outstanding. Our guide was first-class!!

Our guide, David, was a wonderful human with a passion and knowledge of German history that was superior. This was a private tour and we were encouraged to make it our own, which we appreciated. Many helpful tips from David. We would not hesitate to schedule with Viator and David again.
We did what the trip described but were surprised there weren't more brief stops at little villages, etc. Harbourg Castle was charming and quite different from the opulent, glitzy ones. Could have spent more time in Dinkelsbuhl. Rothenburg is a delightful town with as much quaintness as you would ever want. Be aware that some days the town hall is closed, so you can’t climb the tower. It happened to us. As well as missing the men popping out of the window in the clock tower. We were hoping for more historical perspective. Just be aware of the amount of time in long driving stretches through lovely green farmland. Frankly, although it was very comfortable to ride in a private vehicle, if doing it again, I would take a much less expensive bus tour. However, don’t miss seeing these delightful sights.

We customized the tours based on your expectations, made adjustments along the way, and did everything possible to provide a meaningful experience. Your main concern seems to be the number of stops. However, during the Romantic Road trip, you mentioned wanting to spend more time in Rothenburg, which we fully supported. So it’s confusing that you also expected additional stops when there wasn’t even enough time for the scheduled ones. This itinerary includes significant driving time by nature. Still, we designed it carefully to balance sightseeing and travel, giving you a real taste of the region in just one day. A longer tour—two or three days—would have allowed us to include smaller towns like Nördlingen, Augsburg etc. and give you more time in each location. We’re always open to feedback, but your low rating directly impacts our ranking. That’s especially discouraging when we did everything the tour promised and more to accommodate both of you. We did a tour with the family in Oct. The tour was well conducted by David. He provided some great suggestion for lunch. Unfortunately the weather was not the best during the first half but Rothenburg and Dinkelsbuhl were excellent. Ideally we would have preferred for the tour to spend more time in these two areas.

This is a long day in the car, but the towns and villages are well worth the time! Our tour guide Emir (I think this is spelled correctly) was fantastic. He provided the history on the area, recommended a fantastic bakery and allowed us to customize the time spent in each village!
We both enjoy visiting historical places and found the tour interesting. The Christmas market in Rothenberg ob Der tuber was an added delight. David provided helpful information along the way; we enjoyed spending time with him and recommend the tour.
David was an excellent driver and got us to our destinations very safely. But the tour was very expensive for what we received, basically only a taxi/Uber ride to and from the destinations. We could have done a taxi/Uber/train for a 1/3 of the price. We will not do a private tour in the future. Very disappointing. Little or no intetaction from our guide.

This town is very beautiful surrounded by a wall that you can walk on top of and you can see good views of the town.
