Melk and Hallstatt were worth it. Not worth going all the way to Salzburg without staying overnight. The guys was more of a driver not a tour guide he hardly shared any information and didn’t talk much at all in the car. Long tiring day trying to do all 3 places.
The weather can turn unpleasant. One must be prepared. Other than that, everything was fine: the route, landscapes, and beautiful cities. The guide was always attentive to making the trip a wonderful experience.
Nico was the BEST! We actually requested him based on all his good reviews. He lived up to the expectations. Hallstat is a must see. It rained on us but even in the rain it was worth being wet for. Nico took us on scenic roads off the main path and made an extra stop to see the sound of music home. He provided waters, took our pictures and even bought on of the girls a birthday gift of Mozart chocolates. Salzburg was gorgeous. Just a wonderful experience! Thank you Nico!
Our trip was excellent, and much of that was thanks to our driver, Sam. He clearly knows what he’s doing—very skilled behind the wheel and always made us feel safe and comfortable throughout the journey. He was also very knowledgeable about the tour and shared helpful information along the way. Highly recommended! 👍
Get to see Hallstatt and Salzburg in one day. Our driver Nico was very professional and nice! He also drove carefully. Would definitely recommend!
The van was not what we expected from the description. It was older and very loud. The driver skipped Melk all together. Pointed out the abbey as we passed. That was disappointing, because we kind of wanted to visit the abbey. When we got to Hallstatt, he dropped us off and told us to do the skywalk which was a horrible experience. It was 90*, we were crammed in a funicular with too many people and no air for too long before it started to move. Then we had to walk 10,000 stairs up, down and around to get to the skywalk… a short extension over the lake, and that was it. It was absolutely not worth the price or our time. This took so much of our time. The scenery from the shore was prettier up close. By the time we reached Salzburg, we were starving. And because we spent so much time getting to the skywalk and back down, we didn’t get to spend very much time in Salzburg which, hands down, was the best part of the trip. We were rushed through town as shops began closing their doors. It was rather disappointing.
Wonderful day with Mohammed! We enjoyed this day so much! Everything was perfect. Mohammed was amazing and we just had so much fun with him. We left the day with a new friend , well maybe more like a new family member. He cared for us all the way and made sure we knew all the history of the places we stopped out. Would highly recommend!
Me and 5 friends did this tour and honestly was such a good way to see so many sites of Austria! Our driver Mohamad was awesome too, had such good communication. Would recommend this as a day trip to see more of Austria in limited time!
The trip was perfect, I would rate it 10/10. Mohammed was our driver, he is so informative and kind. The itinerary was flexible and we managed to see everything we wanted to. Mohammed made sure we were comfortable during the whole trip :) I would recommend this trip for anyone looking for a lovely day trip from Vienna.
This trip was the highlight of our vacation. I never thought I’d actually see Hallstatt in person—it was even more beautiful than the photos. Melk Abbey was a big surprise, so impressive. And Salzburg felt alive with music and history. Loved every minute.
