Gracias a su historia antigua, la magia de la isla de Ortigia y el encanto de su costa, Siracusa es uno de los destinos más populares de Sicilia. Nuestro conductor lo recogerá de su alojamiento a la hora que prefiera y lo llevará a la hermosa ciudad de Siracusa. La primera parada será en Neapolis, la zona arqueológica de la ciudad. Aquí tendrás tiempo libre para admirar el anfiteatro romano y el impresionante y solemne Teatro Griego, el más grande de la isla y uno de los más grandes del mundo, íntegramente excavado en la roca. También puedes visitar la Oreja de Dionisio, una cueva artificial situada justo debajo del Teatro. Se llama así por la forma de su oreja y también por sus propiedades acústicas. Luego, el conductor lo dejará en la isla de Ortigia, el antiguo centro histórico de Siracusa. Aquí tendrás tiempo libre para pasear por las calles características y ver los monumentos más importantes como la Fontain Aretusa, la Catedral y el castillo de Maniace.

La primera parada será en el parque arqueológico de Neapolis. Patrimonio Mundial de la Unesco. Aquí es posible ver los restos más importantes de la antigua ciudad griega y romana. El teatro griego, el anfiteatro romano, las antiguas canteras de piedra, la oreja de Dioniso y el altar de Hieron, son sólo algunos de los monumentos que se encuentran dentro de esta gran zona verde.
La Catedral de la Natividad de la Santísima Virgen María está ubicada en la parte más alta de la ciudad y su fachada combina el estilo barroco y rococó.
A la entrada de la isla de Ortigia, le recibirá el aroma de todo tipo de especias, chiles del Etna, pasteles de almendras, así como mariscos y pescado fresco. Una buena oportunidad para conocer nuestros productos locales y aprender nuevas recetas sicilianas.
Data de principios del siglo VI a.C., hoy destacan sus restos en medio de un jardín que hace aún más espectacular todo el paisaje.
Está situado en la parte más antigua de Ortigia. Se trata de un evocador espejo de agua que se hace aún más especial gracias a las exuberantes plantas de papiro. También es el lugar donde se ambienta la leyenda de Aretusa y Alfeo.
En la plaza de Arquímedes se encuentra una fuente monumental obra de Giulio Moschetti, que representa a la diosa de la caza, antigua protectora de Siracusa.
Tendrá tiempo libre para explorar la hermosa isla de Ortigia, es el distrito más antiguo de la ciudad siciliana de Siracusa. Es una especie de “ciudad dentro de la ciudad” e “isla dentro de la isla”, por lo que es uno de los lugares más especiales del sur de Italia.

Andrew our driver was a lovely young man. Felt very safe with his driving. The Necropolis was very interesting and Ortega is beautiful. Make sure you take a hat and lots of water as it was very hot in both places.
