Guide Heba and driver Essam were both excellent. In addition to seeing the cemeteries and museum for the battles, Heba explained the development and noteworthy sites along the way. We were treated to a very good lunch as part of the tour.
One of the most moving and evocative tours I've ever been on. The El Alamein museum is informative and well laid out. We could have spent hours more there. The hardware on display is incredible. the war cemeteries are something to see. the German and Italian cemeteries are architectural monuments but the Commonwealth cemetery is extraordinary and emotionally overwhelming. Mr. Mohamed was our guide again today and explained everything succinctly and with compassion. If this is your area of interest, it's definitely not to be missed. our driver Redd (?) got us there and back safely. No mean feat. Thank you.

Wessam and Ahmed picked us up from our hotel on time Wessam is very knowledgeable and professional and our driver, Ahmed, was so helpful and kind It was a very pleasant and enjoyable day Thank you
Mahmood is a fantastic guide. He's well-educated, engaging, friendly, and flexible. Visiting the Commonwealth Cemetery was a moving experience. We were able to add on a tour of the Serapium for a very reasonable price. This is where Mahmood really came into his own. We then modified our drop-off to a restaurant Mahmood recommended for a truly authentic Egyptian meal at a family restaurant, Kebab Ouzi.
The tour was first class and the tourist guide Poula was very well organized. I could see everything I wanted to see and everything went smoothly. The food at the end was also first class and afterwards we went to a tea room to end the day.
Norman and essay picked me and my girlfriend up at our hotel on time took just over an hour to get to the german wargraves then onto the italian War graves and finally the commonwealth afterwards we went to the war museum after both guide and driver where excellent in their knowledge and English and friendly stopped for lunch on way back. The tour was as advertised and worth doing.
When we eventually got to the right memorial in El Alamein for the Allied forces including New Zealand and Australia it was fantastic. Not sure Viator why we joined another tour but the guide took us to the German and Italian which our countries were in conflict with. She was lovely but had no history of this event. That was disappointing.
Trip to El alamein was great, both guide Salma and driver were happy to let me go at my own pace and show me around.
The private day trip to El Alamein from Alexandria was fantastic. Thanks to my guide Mohamed Salama, who was excellent in providing details around the war memorials from understanding the significance of the major battle of El Alamein to how even though the cemeteries exist, there are still bodies being discovered to this day (and even some mines)! I found the Commonwealth memorial to be quite profound and the El Alamein Museum was a fantastic place for me to walk by myself as my guide gave me initial information to help me navigate the area. And the lunch when we returned to Alexandria was a good treat as well. It’s sad to hear how new resort developments are taking over and the future of these memorials might be in question. I highly recommend this tour as a good day out to learn about the significance of El Alamein thanks to the guide and also to get in before the resorts start taking over.
