Dmz Tour

Our guide Theo did a wonderful job. He made contact the day before to ensure our meet up time and he arrived early the day of the tour. During the day of the tour he was friendly and engaging. The tour to the DMZ was amazing and we went on to see more sights afterwards back in Seoul. All in all a great day.

Fun Tour

Our guide was Brian. He spoke English well and was amazing. He had a lot of great knowledge about Seoul and the history. Brian made our excursion stress free and fun! I’ll definitely be coming back and doing the Kpop tour next! Thanks, OneDayKorea!

Disabled friendly tour

Travis was an amazing tour guide. My mum cannot walk for long so travels and uses a folding mobility buggy. As such getting on tours to various places can be a struggle. But Travis created the perfect itenary to accommodate my mother. At each stop he would go into the building to look for an elevator or search for a ramp in and out the various places. Travis had a vast knowledge of the DMZ, the war and would tell personal accounts that he had been told by his family that he was happy to share with us. My mother never felt rushed, she could take her time looking at everything. She was able to relax and take in all the history. We even got the buggy on a gondula that was fun. In the car the guide would tell my mother about the history of Korea so the journey to each point was not silent, so more knowledge gained each step of the journey. He took us to less known tourist spots the focus being on the history, so we saw many UNESCO sites and a destroyed locomotive that still contained bullet holes. And the broken bridge that seperates the North from the South. A wonderful trip and the highlight to my mums visit to Korea.

Disabled person on tour

Travis was a great guide on our recent tour of the DMZ. As a disabled person it is often difficult for me to go on tours as I use an electric scooter and most guides are too fast. Having a personal tour was woderful. Travis is very knowledgeable and speaks good English. He allowed us as much time as we needed and made sure I could access all areas and soon started guiding me to ramps. I found the trip very informative, emotional and thought provoking. One of the many memories I will take home with me thank you.

A 5 star experience with Travis!

Had an excellent time with Travis as our guide. This tour of the DMZ area was well planned and definitely worth recommending. We had Travis come pick us up at our hotel in central Myeongdong and he escorted us throughout the day. He provided interesting information in South Korean history as well as the complicated situation with the neighbors to the north. We could all ask questions and he even allowed myself to interpret to my group of non-english speakers. He even contacted me the night before via WhatsApp to make sure that everything was all set for the tour in the morning. 5 stars to Travis!

Not a private tour!!!

We were sold a private tour that would be suitable for a disabled person. We were picked up in a private vehicle but then made to transfer to a huge shared coach. This was not explained to us when we booked. My disabled partner couldn’t access most of the locations. I specifically asked if the trip would be ok in a wheelchair and was told yes. We were misinformed. We could have saved money and joined au group tour as that is what we got anyway. Very disappointed.

Respuesta del operador

We sincerely regret that your experience did not meet expectations. However, we’d like to clarify that all DMZ visitors—regardless of private or group tour—must transfer to a shared government-approved shuttle bus for security reasons. This regulation applies to every tour operator and is beyond our control. Your tour included private hotel pickup, full-day support, and personal guidance, which are not provided in standard group tours. If you had joined a group tour, managing wheelchair access without any on-site help would have been far more difficult. We understand that “accessible” can mean different things depending on context. While wheelchairs are technically permitted at DMZ sites, some areas may pose challenges due to the terrain and infrastructure, and we apologize if this was not communicated clearly enough. We kindly ask that our service not be misrepresented. We always do our best to assist travelers with special needs and are proud to offer customized care that group tours simply cannot match.

DMZ tour

We enjoyed a day with Travis, and he was great, answered all our questions and was very sweet. He could tell us all about Korean history, and it was very interesting.

Great experience

Billy was a great driver and tour guide. He took very good care of us. He told us a lot of historical facts about the war and forming of the DMZ. He didn’t rush us and gave us plenty of time to appreciate all information and sites.

The arrival at the DMZ site seemed a bit improvised.

The guide barely spoke English, so we had no explanation. However, the guide was courteous and available.
