El majestuoso Monte Kilimanjaro es el punto de referencia impresionante de Tanzania, pero no es necesario escalarlo para experimentar toda su belleza y el cautivador terreno que lo rodea. Este recorrido también es muy único porque es un viaje de un día al Kilimanjaro que le brinda la oportunidad de trepar el primer tramo de la famosa Ruta Marangu, a través de la selva tropical con pájaros y charlando, curiosos monos azules. ¡Cuidado con un colobo o dos!

Itinerario
Desde la puerta de Marangu (1,800 m / 5,905 pies) hasta la cabaña Mandara (2,743 m / 9,000 pies) Ganancia de elevación: 915 metros, 3,000 pies. Salga de la bulliciosa y colorida Moshi temprano para conducir hasta la Puerta de Marangu, el umbral del magnífico Kilimanjaro. Está a solo una hora en coche, pero quedará cautivado por el campo: plantaciones de café y plátano, a través del pintoresco pueblo de Marangu, con el Kilimanjaro elevándose majestuosamente delante de usted. Te registraremos en la Puerta de Marangu y luego comenzará tu aventura. Al principio, el sendero surcado es estrecho mientras paseas por la selva tropical. Es exuberante y brumoso, con los árboles adornados con musgo. También te encontrarás con excursionistas cansados que descienden de la cumbre. I wasnt ready for a summit climb but i didnt want to miss the opportunity of going up the Kilimanjaro. the day hike with Alpha turned out to be the perfect solution. It was so much fun all the way up and back down. Its actually not a difficult hike and I can see why its called the coca cola but i heard its starts getting more challenging from the ascent to the second base camp. We were picked up in a mini van from our hotel at 06.30 and then drove to the gate. After getting a tour of the main office area of the national park which provides information on the mountain and its climbing history, we started our hike. Some people make it in 7 hours return others in 8 hours. During this hike you will pass different vegetations, you have chances of seeing the blue monkeys and some bird life. I was fortunate enough to see an animal i didnt know existed the hyrax. Saw the little fellow twice looking at me from a tree trunk. You also can visit the crater and the waterfall all this depending on your pace as the park closes at 18.00. I can totally recommend this zrip with Alpha
