Private Montenegro tour with Filip: 10/10, book it. Drove Dubrovnik → Montenegro, skipped border traffic like a local, cappuccino stop that alone was worth the trip. Kotor's fortress and old town: stunning. Boat tour to Our Lady of the Rocks. Beautiful bay drive to a family-run restaurant that puts chain restaurants to shame. Topped off with insider tips for our next stops. Filip's knowledge: encyclopedic. Route: flawless. Vibe: like touring with a friend who happens to know everything. If you're anywhere near Dubrovnik or Montenegro, do this tour. Don't overthink it.
We cannot recommend this private tour highly enough! From the moment our guide picked us up in Dubrovnik early in the morning, we knew we were in great hands. He expertly planned our route to stay ahead of the crowds and spent the drive sharing fascinating history and local insights about both Croatia and Montenegro, making the journey just as enjoyable as the destinations. After crossing into Montenegro, we stopped for a wonderful morning coffee overlooking the Adriatic before heading to Kotor, where we enjoyed an excellent private walking tour through the beautiful Old Town. We then drove around the stunning Bay of Kotor while our guide pointed out historic sites, explained the area's rich history, and answered every question we had. One of the absolute highlights was wandering the charming streets of Perast and taking a boat ride to Our Lady of the Rocks (Gospa od Škrpjela), an unforgettable little island church with an incredible story. We finished the day at a hidden restaurant that felt like something out of the Tuscan countryside, where the food was absolutely amazing. Beyond his incredible knowledge, our guide was personable, engaging, and could hold a conversation about virtually anything. He was also an exceptionally safe driver, which made the entire experience even more relaxing. This was truly one of the best private tours we have ever taken, and it created memories that will last a lifetime. If you're visiting Dubrovnik and considering a trip to Montenegro, don't hesitate, you won't find a better way to experience this beautiful region.
Filip was the best! He is incredibly knowledgeable of the different regions and their histories as well. He made all the border crossings easy and seamless! He gave many recommendations for each of our excursions that we were so grateful to have as it made our experience 10/10. Filip’s timing with pickups and drop offs were perfectly timed where I felt I was able to have a unique experience with my wife and not too many other people around. This experience is worth its weight in gold!
Incredible day with the perfect guide. If you only have time for one day trip during your stay in Dubrovnik, book the day in Montenegro with Filip! Montenegro was breathtaking. Filip has a great relationship with the locals at every spot, and being on the private tour led to top tier treatment wherever we went. At the end of the gorgeous day, our favorite part was the hidden gem lunch at a home-turned-restaurant on natural cold springs. We will have to make our way back to Montenegro one day, and we will go to this place again!
This private tour with Filip was one of the absolute highlights of our trip! From the moment we met him, we knew we were in for a special day. Having a private guide made all the difference—it allowed us to explore at our own pace, ask lots of questions, and truly appreciate the incredible history and beauty of Montenegro. Walking through the Old Town of Kotor with Ilija was fascinating. His knowledge of the city’s rich history and culture brought everything to life in a way that you simply can’t get by wandering on your own. Every street, church, and square had a story, and we loved every minute of it. Another unforgettable part of the day was our private boat ride with Sasha across the stunning Bay of Kotor to Our Lady of the Rocks. Cruising across the crystal-clear water while surrounded by the dramatic mountains was breathtaking. Visiting the beautiful man-made island and its historic church was such a unique experience and one we’ll never forget. Throughout the day, Filip made sure we had the best views, the best experiences, and even the best photos! He somehow knew exactly where to stop for the perfect picture and captured some of our favorite photos from our entire vacation. Those memories are priceless. If you’re debating whether a private tour is worth it, the answer is absolutely yes. Every penny was well spent. We learned so much about Montenegro’s history, enjoyed spectacular scenery, and experienced places we never would have discovered on our own. Thank you, Filip, Ilija, and Sasha for giving us such an unforgettable day. We left with wonderful memories, beautiful photos, and a much deeper appreciation for this incredible part of the world. We would recommend this tour to anyone without hesitation!
If you’re thinking about taking a day trip from Dubrovnik to Montenegro, book this private tour with Filip—you won’t regret it! Filip made the entire day effortless from start to finish. He knew exactly how to navigate the border crossings, which saved us so much time and made the experience completely stress-free. Throughout the day, he took us to all of the iconic sights, but what really made the tour stand out were the places and people we never would have experienced on our own. His local connections gave us an authentic, behind-the-scenes look at Montenegro that made the day feel truly special. Filip is incredibly knowledgeable about the history of the region and shares it in such an engaging way. We learned so much while still having plenty of time to enjoy the breathtaking scenery and charming towns. One of the highlights of the day was lunch at Konoba Catovica Mlini. It was hands-down one of the best meals we’ve had during our travels through Croatia and Montenegro. The setting was beautiful, the food was outstanding, and it felt like discovering a hidden gem. We also have to mention how comfortable the trip was. Filip’s vehicle was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. We happened to visit during the European heat wave, and the ice-cold air conditioning was an absolute lifesaver! Filip is friendly, professional, and clearly loves sharing his country and neighboring Montenegro with visitors. By the end of the day, it felt like we had spent the day exploring with a knowledgeable local friend. This was easily one of the highlights of our vacation, and we would recommend Filip and this private tour to anyone looking for a memorable, personalized experience. Thank you, Filip, for an amazing day!
Had a wonderful private tour to Montenegro yesterday. Filip was a great guide, everything was smooth from beginning to end. He gave us great info and took us to great spots, thanks Filip!
Just finished a great day trip to Montenegro with Filip! Communication was great from when we booked the tour right up to this morning when Filip picked us up. Nice, comfortable, air conditioned sedan which made the trip very comfortable as the day was very hot. Filip even managed to get a permit to pick us up right at our apartment which doesn’t allow public traffic which was great! I had heard lots of bad stories about the border crossing - we had no trouble at all, basically no wait in either direction. Filip took a small detour to the smaller border crossing and we went right through. Filip was great at giving us history, pointing out interesting features, and stopping at great viewpoints. We had a good time with Ivo guiding us through the Old Town of Kotor. The lunch spot that Filip picked out (the hidden gem) is truly spectacular. Thanks for a great day Filip!
We had a great time with Filip today. He was very knowledgeable and accommodating to our needs. Despite the heat we had a great time and enjoyed Montenegro.
Our private day trip through Montenegro was nothing short of magical and was easily one of the highlights of our travels. Every detail was thoughtfully planned, making the entire experience feel effortless, intimate, and unforgettable. One of the highlights was exploring the ancient town of Kotor with our wonderful local guide, Evo. His incredible knowledge of Kotor's rich history, captivating storytelling, and genuine passion for his hometown brought every cobblestone street and hidden corner to life. It felt like we were discovering the true heart of Montenegro through the eyes of a local. We then visited the charming seaside town of Perast, where we enjoyed a peaceful walk on a beautiful island with its stunning church and breathtaking views of the Bay of Kotor. The atmosphere was incredibly romantic and serene—a place where time seems to stand still. Lunch at Ćatovića Mlini was an experience in itself. Nestled in a picturesque setting surrounded by flowing water, lush greenery, ducks gliding through the streams, birds singing overhead, and bees drifting through the flowers, it was pure tranquility. The fresh seafood was outstanding, and every bite was complemented by the spectacular scenery. What truly made this day exceptional was our tour guide, Filip. From start to finish, he was incredibly knowledgeable, professional, warm, and genuinely enthusiastic about sharing the beauty and history of Montenegro. His passion for his country was infectious, and he made every stop meaningful, personal, and memorable. He anticipated every need and ensured we were comfortable throughout the journey. The private transportation was spotless, spacious, air-conditioned, and exceptionally comfortable, making it easy to relax and simply enjoy the stunning scenery between destinations. If you're looking for a luxurious, romantic, and authentic way to experience Montenegro, this private tour is an absolute must. Thanks to Evo and Filip, we left with unforgettable memories, a deep appreciation for Montenegro's beauty and culture, and every intention of returning. Highly, highly recommended!
