I had an absolutely brilliant time on the Peaky Blinders Taxi Tour in Liverpool with Gary Friday. If you’re a fan of the series, this tour is an absolute must — but even if you’re not, it’s still a fascinating and fun way to explore Liverpool and its film locations. Gary was fantastic from start to finish: friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about both the show and the city. He brought the world of Peaky Blinders to life with behind-the-scenes stories, filming anecdotes, and lots of historical context about the real gangs that inspired the series. It was much more than just a sightseeing tour — it felt like stepping into the story. We visited several iconic filming locations around Liverpool, many of which double as Birmingham in the show. Gary made sure there was plenty of time to take photos and really soak up the atmosphere, and he even had still images from the series so we could compare the scenes with the real locations — a great touch! The black cab itself added to the authentic experience, and Gary’s storytelling kept the whole tour lively and engaging. His enthusiasm is contagious, and you can tell he genuinely loves sharing Liverpool’s film heritage. All in all, a memorable and highly enjoyable experience. Gary provided a wonderful very detailed and informative tour experience. His knowledge of Peaky Blinders and Liverpool was excellent and entertaining.
We had a private tour with guide Gary who was the double of Tommy with an accent to match and very informative and knowledgeable about the history and sites of Liverpool as well as about Peaky Blinders filming sites. Did the Peaky Blinders Taxi Tour with my wife on our honeymoon. Gary, our tour guide, and Jerry, our taxi driver, were amazing!! Both were very charismatic, knowledgeable, and funny! Gary even went above and beyond and dress like a Peaky Blinder and took pictures and video for us and with us (recreating scenes). We even had a little break and had delicious coffee together. It was very much worth the money and it was our best experience while visiting the UK. This review is officially a 10 out of 5... by order of the Peaky Blinders!

Gary Friday was an amazing guide! You can tell that he loves discussing Liverpool and Peaky Blinders. He knows everything, down to the scene, and then the story behind the story. In fact, he was an extra on the show. He mixes in other historical tour stops (e.g., Liverpool Cathedral, football stadiums) depending on your interest. He is very knowledgeable, fun, and dedicated to giving you full value. It was totally worth it! Thanks Gary!
A fantastic tour which showed how this great city was used as the backdrop to Peaky Blinders. The tour guide Gary Friday made it really enjoyable with his enthusiasm, humour and great knowledge. Gary tells the story of how the different locations were used and brings it to life with images and clips of the show. He explains how the show told the history of what was going on in Britain at the time. A fascinating insight into how the show was made, brought to life with some funny stories from behind the scenes. If you’re into Peaky Blinders and want to see some great locations in Liverpool and Wirral, this is a great way to spend half a day.
