Después de que lo recojan de su hotel, nos dirigiremos al Jardín Botánico fundado en 1808, su colección contiene 9000 muestras de 1500 especies. El JBRJ es famoso por la exuberancia y la importancia científica de sus colecciones de plantas, así como por la belleza de sus paisajes. Su historia bicentenaria se expresa en sus monumentos, edificios y obras de arte. A pie o en carrito eléctrico, los visitantes pueden pasear por los callejones y ver plantas de diferentes partes del mundo, visitar los invernaderos (Orquídeas, Bromelias, Helechos, Plantas Insectívoras) y jardines temáticos y colecciones, como el Jardín Japonés y el Medicinal plantas.
Luego de visitar el Jardín Botánico, nos dirigiremos al Parque Lage, originario de un antiguo ingenio azucarero, el parque es parte de la memoria histórica de la ciudad. Diseñado en 1840 por el paisajista inglés John Tyndale, el hermoso jardín romántico de estilo europeo comparte protagonismo con el Bosque Atlántico nativo. También son destacables las palmeras imperiales, los lagos e islas artificiales, además de las cuevas repartidas por todo el parque y los acuarios empotrados en las paredes con diversos peces. En el edificio principal del espacio, una mansión del siglo. XIX, funciona la Escuela de Artes Visuales de Parque Lage (EAV) y el Bistro Plage ofrece un delicioso desayuno, almuerzo y cena con productos orgánicos que se pueden disfrutar junto con los eventos de arte y música que tienen lugar en el lugar durante todo el año.

The gardens are not small. Be prepared to walk and learn some fascinating facts about the history of Brazil. She also helped us decide on lunch and dinner for the next few days from the perspective of a local. 10/10

This is actually the second experience I booked with Renata. I did the Christ the Redeemer with her last year and knew when I got back to Rio that I'd need more photos. I contacted her and asked her to do the Parque Lage and Botanical garden tour WITH the Selaron steps and she accommodated me. The photos are stunning! But more than that, she knew the history around each place and was great company. I feel super comfortable with her and will likely be doing more photo tours with her on future trips to Rio. Renata, the tout guide and photographer is wonderful. She related the historical and cultural significance of the Park Lagre and the Botanical Gardens in an entertaining way. Renata is phenomenal!!!!! She is extremely professional with an awesome sense of humour and is extremely knowledgeable! My husband and I enjoyed touring Parque Lage and the botanical gardens with her and she provided us with beautiful pictures after. It felt like a friend was taking you around Rio and making sure you have gorgeous pictures also. Highly recommend Renata!!!! The Botanical Gardens and Lage Park are a must for anyone visiting Rio. We were very impressed by the natural beauty existing in the heart of the city and will never forget the superb flora and astonishing wild life (monkeys, tucans, turtles and many more). We highly appreciate Renata's efforts to make the tour as pleasant as possible and value the comprehensive information she provided on the history of Brazil, Rio's landscapes and the interesting sites we visited: the Botanical Gardens and Lage Park.
