The local tour provider was very helpful. The driver who took me to Wadi Mujib was very friendly and polite. He suggested some tips on other places I can visit in Jordan. The experience was great. Wadi Mujib is a beautiful place and an amazing experience. You will need a waterproof bag for your phone. However, you can also rent it from there.
Very friendly, helpful and professional driver. With his help, I was able to organize suitable shoes and a small waterproof bag. (Tip: definitely take a guaranteed waterproof bag with you, otherwise the mobile phone is guaranteed to be wet and unusable). The Wadi Mujib is also a challenge for sporty and agile visitors, but very impressive and absolutely recommendable with this driver.😊
Great trip! We were a group of 2 couples and had a private car with wifi. Zaid was our driver and was very nice and accommodating. We originally asked for a 9am pickup time but he advised earlier is better because it can get crowded so we switch to 7am pickup -- thanks Zaid! He was very knowledgeable about the area and pointed out points of interest along the way. He even stopped at a lookout point over the Dead Sea and took a group photo for us. It was a one hour drive from Amman. Tight fitting water shoes are advised. The water is powerful and can pull them off your foot! We saw many rogue shoes. They have water shoes there to buy but we brought our own. Life jackets are included in the entry fee. We were able to leave bags and belongings in Zaid's car during the trip. None of us brought a bag on the trail although one person brought a phone in a waterproof pouch for photos. We did the Siq trail and it was more intense than we imagined it would be. All 4 of us are fitter than the average person and while we didn't have any trouble we had to be very careful to not get hurt because the water is very powerful and will push you into rocks. This may be due to the rainy season just finishing so the water level was at its highest to still be considered safe. The trail took around 2 hours without it being crowded so I imagine it would take twice as long if you have to wait for others to climb up/down. You go up the river one way, reach a waterfall, and return the same way. Also, there are little fish that nibble on your legs that can be quite ticklish so just a heads up! We brought a change of dry clothes for the ride home and were back to Amman before lunchtime!
Zaid had been really friendly and helpful ll in our day trip to Wadi Mujib. He adapt his stops to our needs so we could buy some scrub from the dead sea. He also called a shawarma restaurant and pick us up some food. Excellent service!!!
