Mostar es la capital de la región de Herzegovina. Está situado en un valle completamente rodeado de montañas. Su historia única atrae a millones de turistas que visitan Mostar cada año. La ciudad está dividida en dos partes por el río Neretva, uno bajo la influencia occidental y el otro bajo la oriental. Estas dos culturas se fusionan y se encuentran en el centro de la ciudad, donde se puede ver el espectacular puente viejo. Los guardianes del puente o mostari fueron la inspiración para el nombre de esta ciudad. En la región de Hercegovina como parte de este recorrido también visitamos el antiguo asentamiento otomano Počitelj del siglo XV. Subir a las paredes te ofrece una vista inolvidable de Neretva y el paisaje hercegoviano. Excursiones opcionales son a las cascadas de Kravice y al pueblo de Blagaj.
