El lago Titicaca es el lago navegable más alto del mundo, ubicado a 3.856 metros sobre el nivel del mar. Sus costas y pequeñas islas albergan a los aimaras y quechuas que provienen de culturas antiguas que vivieron en esta área mucho antes de que los incas dominaran. Aquí los visitantes pueden explorar pueblos tradicionales donde el español es el segundo idioma y donde los mitos y creencias antiguas persisten incluso hoy. Una de las peculiaridades del lago Titicaca son las pequeñas islas flotantes habitadas por una tribu llamada los Uros. En estas pequeñas islas, los visitantes son bienvenidos e incluso pueden viajar en uno de los famosos barcos de caña.

Itinerario
Lo recogemos en vehículo privado desde su hotel en La Paz. Será conducido con un guía profesional a Copacabana, disfrutando de paisajes naturales.

Llegue al lindo pueblo de Copacabana para un pequeño refrigerio local. Recorremos y visitamos el santuario y la Virgen Morena. Tendrá la oportunidad de conocer a pequeños artesanos regionales y aprender sobre la cultura local.

Luego nos dirigiremos a la Isla del Sol en un bote privado con un guía local. Caminaremos por la "Gran Escalera Inca" y también veremos la Fuente Sagrada, cuyas aguas subterráneas, según se dice, ¡darían juventud y felicidad eterna! Después de esto almorzaremos en el restaurante arqueológico local y luego visitaremos el pequeño mercado de artesanías y lugares ancestrales para aprender sobre las costumbres que aún permanecen de los antepasados.
A nuestro regreso disfrutaremos del paisaje del lago y pintaremos los colores de la naturaleza al atardecer. Viaje por tierra a su hotel en La Paz.

Fantastic private tour! Our guide Nathaniel was incredibly professional and very attentive, as was the driver, Diego, who with his skill behind the wheel had a trip of 10. We had the opportunity to visit the totora museum and acquire high quality craft products. The Copacabana tour is very beautiful and the Isla del Sol is spectacular. To eat we were offered typical regional food that was delicious! The flexibility of the tour allows you to adapt your needs and preferences to visit the places and feel comfortable during the tour. We will certainly repeat with the agency when we return to Bolivia:)
We went with Daniel (guide) and Johnny (driver). They both were very hospitable. The lake is beautiful. We were given indigenous lunch by the lake which was delish! The only drawback is it is a long drive from La Paz (4 hours each way).
If you are a short on time or don't want to make complicated bus and bike plans, this is a good option. This company would get 5 stars if they would buy there own bus. A driver picks you up and you wait at the regular old bus station for about an hour (there are breakfast restaurants in the terminal). Our group was about 1/3 of the bus and the biggest issue was that for 4 long hours going out, I was sitting in a tight seat next to a Bolivian mother with a FOUR year old in her lap! I had no idea which 1/3 of the bus was on my tour. If they don't buy their own bus, it would be nice to have the tour seats all together. The tour and guide were great. You get to see most of what you want to see, albeit very quickly. You get back to the bus station around 10PM in La Paz. Once I knew who was part of the tour, it was easy to strike up conversations.
