We went on an excursion trip from cruise ship to the Cinque Terre from Last Spezia. We had a tour guide, walked to ferry to join boat.It was so overcrowded. We were supposed to have had at least 1 hour in Porto Venere Vernazza and MontorossoWe had less than 50 minutes in each as the ferry boat was overcrowded and the villages had so many visitors it was impossible to get refreshments. We had to stand on ferry boat all the way back from Montorosso to La Spezia which was not good as we are in our eighties. The guy on cruise ship said it would be a ferry for all but we did not expect that volumn of people.Last time we were in Last Spezia,we walked to train station ,bought our tickets for less than 10 euros and hopped on and off train at each village stop with no problem at all and we had plenty of time at each village. We just thought by booking on cruise ship to go by ferry would be nice, but never again. The Cinque Terre is outstanding beautiful in every way and is a must to visit.
Hello Megan, First, thank you for booking this tour with us. As Cinque Terre is a dream location for so many tourists, during high season can be more crowded than usually. This applies also on the trains, not only the ferryboat. We are sorry that you found it to be so exhausting. We hope you'll get another chance to visit the amazing villages of Cinque Terre. Kind regards, Diana
