Fantastic / amazing knowledge/ highly recommend - clean bus / polite staff/ helpful staff. On time thank you
The tour guide was amazing. She was most knowledgeable. The beginning was a little scary. The driver did not speak English and he took us to a sketchy part of town where the cathedral was located. Communication left us a bit concerned. I thought we booked Pompeii not Naples and Pompeii. We were confused at the beginning why e we were not headed to Pompeii. My bad. Once the tour guide arrived, things went smoothly. The entire excursion was good overall.
The trip around Naples was good but could have used more commentary from the guide. However, she was incredible once we go to Pompeii. Her knowledge of the history was great but she also added so many funny facts to associate to modern times. She had a speaker with headphones so it was great for everyone in the group to hear as well. Our only distress was a little disorganized in getting the bus back to the port on time. We were holding our breath but we made it.
Our guide, Elisa was wonderful and her presentation during Pompeii was entertaining and informative. She did a great job navigating us through an extremely crowded and chaotic visit as there were many ships in port that day. The tour was booked as a half day and your literature said it would end at 1:00 pm but didn't end until close to 2:30 pm. (Fortunately, not a problem for us. Naples was extremely congested as it was raining and there was a police incident blocking the road.) Elisa also has so much knowledge of Naples it made an otherwise dreary, slow, bumpy ride (no one's fault) worthwhile.
Maria our guide was wonderful. We toured Naples with a few stops. She told us about the history. Unfortunately I personally found Naples to be a dirty city. After that we headed to Pompeii which is absolutely incredible. To see buildings built over 2000 years and preserved after the volcanic eruption in 79 AD is mind blowing
It was just like it was posted about. I'm on a cruise ship and viator is almost 1/2 the price of the same tour. Trying to sign up in Athens now but having problems with web page.
See the East and West portions of the sea and city was amazing. Pompeii was very enlightening and amazing part of history.
Naples isn't an attractive city, full of graffiti and crazy drivers and pedestrians. However the pick up and tour were very well organized. The tour guide made Pompeii come alive. The hike around Pompeii was strenuous but the guide took great care and paid close attention to all the participants. Wish there was more free time.
Interesting, informative but lots of walking. Didn’t like the fact that we changed guides in the middle of tour.
Maria was a knowledgeable tour guide. She was very informative, especially regarding Pompeii. My issue is with the pick-up process. The dock area had too many tour operators and we would have appreciated a VIATOR sign displayed prominently so that we can locate our tour rep. It was very stressful looking for our contact amid hundreds of passengers who disembarked from the cruise ship at the same time. Once in the van, we drove about 20 minutes before the driver picked up our tour guide at the first attraction. We would have appreciated having the tour guide greet us at the port and explain the tour at the outset.
