Great day tour not just covering Peggy's Cove and Luneberg but stops in between with added bonus of Wolfville and Bay of Fundy. Small group of 4 and our tour guide Evan was very knowledgeable and an excellent tour guide. Very enjoyable day.
3 unique stops with long drives between them. During thise drives we had long talks with our guide, Meg, who was informative and delightful, as she shared plenty of local history and her personal experiences (school, food, ancestry, work, hunting, regional uniqueness and perspectives on the world) growing up in the area. The following day we had another long tour day focused on the Bay of Fundy and I didn't realize that the two tours overlapped. If this tour description mentioned Fundy, I missed it. A more robust itinerary in the tour promo would have helped. Overall a memorable and enjoyable day.
Well laid out trip, seen a lot. Evan was a great guide, very knowledgeable and knew a lot of the history! Was a great day! Wish we stayed at the beach longer
Breathe in all the different atmospheres and colours. Listen to Ian's good stories (he was a great guide) because they help you 'feel' the places you are seeing.
It was nice and long trip and guide was really kind. I would recommend this trip for everyone. The car was clean too.
This was a brilliant all day tour. We saw so much, had a fab guide in Ian who gave us so many great recommendations! It is so nice to do this tour in a small group 5. We also had a lovely group which was the icing on the cake. Highly recommend!
Only 5 people and had the best guide. He was so knowledgeable and friendly.
We had the best day with Evan. We got lucky with only 3 of us on our tour and no crowds at any of the tourist sights. The weather was ideal, lunch spectacular and the wine tasting perfect. Highly recommend!!!
We had an excellent experience with Alternative Routes! The tour was well organized, offered great value, and visited some beautiful locations while giving us plenty of time to explore without feeling rushed. A huge thank you to our tour guide and driver, Meg, who made the entire day enjoyable. She was friendly, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable about the area, sharing interesting stories and local history throughout the trip. Meg kept everything running smoothly, made everyone feel welcome, and was always happy to answer questions. Her enthusiasm and organization really made the experience memorable. I would highly recommend Alternative Routes to anyone visiting Nova Scotia. If you’re lucky enough to have Meg as your guide, you’re in for a fantastic day!
Very well organized, Evan was simply awesome and so knowledgeable! Very lovely and enjoyable. The places were beautiful!
