Llevo viviendo en la isla un total de 25 años. Soy guía certificada por NAI con más de 500 recorridos en Maui. Ofrezco una versión honesta de los acontecimientos hawaianos, tanto pasados como presentes. Intento tratar a mis invitados como a mis amigos y he mantenido contacto con muchos de mis invitados. He estado estudiando fotografía y te tomaré toneladas de fotos a lo largo del día. Les daré todas estas fotos al final del día. También haré un vídeo corto de tu aventura sin coste adicional. Intento dar una experiencia que te haga sentir como si estuvieras con un amigo. El recorrido de la tarde tiende a tener menos gente. Estamos en una selva tropical, por lo que el lugar al que vayamos dependerá del clima. Si puede, use un zapato cerrado si es posible y no chanclas. Tendremos la oportunidad de observar y fotografiar tortugas marinas verdes y focas monje hawaianas.
Esta es una vista de la península de Keanae. Se puede ver una iglesia blanca hecha de coral y valle creado por la lava. A menudo en los meses de invierno las ballenas están a distancia
Descenderemos a la península de Keanae y veremos el pan de plátano SANdys y la famosa iglesia de Keanae.
Este es el lugar para conocer de cerca una cascada increíble. Puedes tomar una foto o, si eres un verdadero aventurero, puedes subir a la cima y saltar sobre el arcoíris a unos 20 pies de profundidad. Hay baños y una pequeña cascada para jugar si lo deseas.
Este es un arboreto increíble que ha estado aquí desde 1971. Los eucaliptos arcoíris aquí son los más fotogénicos de la isla. Hay vistas de ríos, bambú, jengibre antorcha y manzanas mamee. Este es el lugar para tomar una foto perfecta en la selva tropical de Maui. Todas las plantas y árboles aquí están etiquetados, lo que lo convierte en el lugar perfecto para aprender sobre la flora de Maui.

We had a beautiful ride in a comfortable van with Eric along the Road to Hana on Tuesday. It was a priceless experience to be with a smart, local gentleman who knows the waterfalls, views, surfing, fauna, wildlife, history and cultural charm of Maui…and enjoys sharing his knowledge with curious tourists like us. He gave us a nice blend of drive-bys and stops that maximized our time on the tour. Highlights for us were seeing over a dozen large sea turtles, swimming in the waterfall and Eric’s perfect jackknife jump, seeing a couple of mongooses for the first time (Rikki-Tikki), and learning about the local lifestyle on Maui. Eric also made sure that we were back in plenty of time for our cruise ship departure. After researching so many tours ahead of time, we felt fortunate to have found this opportunity where we felt very safe on the entire journey…and also finished the day thinking- that was so much fun!!
Tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and personable. He took us to get some amazing banana bread and great views. We ended the day at a beautiful waterfall which was private to just our tour group. 10/10 would recommend.

Eric was wonderful! A great driver who knew lots about the island and history of the road to Hana! We happened to be the only ones booked for the day so he tailored the trip to what we wanted most! We got to see wildlife, eat delicious Banana bread from Aunt Sandy’s, and experience some great stops on the road to Hana!

This trip was perfect for us since it was only about 6 hours ( half way to Hana). Having a few mobility issues, this was great.

Grrat communication with Eric on meet up. He goes the extra mile. The drive on the harrowing Road to Hana was a real adventure. But he was totally in control even on hairpin curves. Green turtles! Lush greenery. Waterfalls. It was a good day.

This tour is very small no more than 6 people. This made it easy to ask questions. He eas very knowledgeable about plants and the culture. He also took pictures and then sent them to us. At the end of tour he offered to drive us back to our ship which was half an hour away so we wouohave to wait in the rain for a taxi or uber. A very nice person Mai magical tour good

The employees are very calm and really want to get to know everyone in the group. They are very thorough in the instructions and help relax the people that are nervous to zip

It sounds like the main takeaway was that it felt like a long drive with not as many stops as you were hoping for. Totally fair — the Road to Hana is a bit of a scenic marathon! That said, we did visit all of the stops included in the tour itinerary, and we were lucky enough to have great weather that day. Not every day cooperates the way yours did — you got to see turtles, whales, waterfalls, and even had the chance to jump in at the waterfall, which is about as “Maui day” as it gets!
