Únete a este tour para visitar dos de las atracciones más famosas de Nueva Zelanda, Hobbiton Movie Set y Waitomo Caves, en un fácil viaje de un día desde Auckland. Nuestro tour es la nueva Experiencia Hobbiton extendida (ahora 2.5 horas) donde puedes aventurarte más allá de la puerta a un interior de Hobbit Hole completamente temático. Sumérjase en el interior con hall de entrada, dormitorios, baño, cocina, comedor, baño equipado, salón y chimenea crepitante. Déjate fascinar por el mágico mundo de Hobbiton y toma fotos frente a tus lugares favoritos como el Hobbit Holes, la Comarca y la Posada del Dragón Verde. Luego viaja a las cuevas de Waitomo Glowworm, famosas mundialmente, y déjate cautivar por los miles de gusanos mágicos centelleando en las grutas, las estalactitas y las estalagmitas mientras te deslizas silenciosamente a través de la cueva en barco. Tras salir de Auckland, viajará al sur por las colinas Bombay mientras contempla las vistas panorámicas de la región de Waikato y viaje a través de las pintorescas llanuras de Hauraki hasta Matamata, la casa del set de rodaje de Hobbiton.
Comience con un recorrido a través de la pintoresca granja de ovejas de 1.250 acres con vistas espectaculares a través de las cordilleras Kaimai. Su guía lo acompañará a través del sitio de 10 acres contando detalles fascinantes de cómo se creó el set de películas de Hobbiton. My family with an age range of 8 years to 80 years had fun with this tour. The Hobbiton was an immersive experience especially being in one of the houses where you can touch and feel everything. The Glowworm cave is beautiful and out of this world experience as well. The combined tour is perfect for a whole day activity. It wasn't rush and the pace is just right.
A must-see! Even as someone who’s not a Lord of the Rings fan, I thoroughly enjoyed Hobbiton. Despite the rain, the tour was magical, and exploring the beautifully crafted hobbit home was a real highlight. Finishing with a cider at the Green Dragon Inn and the buffet made for a fantastic day. As a coeliac, I appreciated the clearly labelled gluten-free options and separate dessert platter. Unfortunately, I became very ill afterwards, suggesting cross-contamination had occurred. A wonderful experience overall, but I’d encourage anyone with coeliac disease to take extra care when dining.
It is an adventure that will give your mind joy. I really enjoyed the details in the buildings and the perfection of the construction of the buildings. Highly recommend! The Waitomo caves were spiritual. The earth is amazing how it conforms to water…our tour guide was fun and entertaining.
Matt the guide was great, he told us many things about New Zealand, about the products the country's economy is based on, about the Maori, about the caves, about Hobbiton; without him I don't think the trip would have been the same. I didn't have high expectations about visiting the Hobbiton Movie Set And it was the excursion I liked the most!! Without a doubt, it was worth having to get up at 5:00 a.m. Thank you Matt for your patience!!

This was a great experience! Our guide, Danny was very knowledgeable and gave our tour group a lot of information about New Zealand. He even made a bonus stop for a couple of younger kids in the van a chance to feed an ostrich. For the rest of us, we stopped for ice cream on the way back to Auckland, definitely go with his recommendation of hokey pokey or boysenberry flavors. The Hobbiton tour was excellent and a lot of fun as was the Waitomo cave tour, although we enjoyed the Hobbiton tour more. The Waitomo cave tour seemed to be a little light on staff members as we were split into 2 different boats and at the end of the tour, for our boat, there was no staff around to let us know how and where to exit. The included lunch was very tasty as there were a variety of options available.
