Explora también las principales atracciones de la ciudad de Glasgow en esta excursión en tierra desde Greenock. Visite la Catedral de Glasgow del siglo XII, la famosa Necrópolis de Glasgow, la casa más antigua de Glasgow, la fuente de terracota más grande del mundo, los famosos murales de Glasgow, el segundo edificio neogótico más grande del Reino Unido, la famosa Galería de Arte Kelvingrove y el galardonado Museo del Transporte.

Itinerario
Primero, te llevaremos a ver los Kelpies: las estatuas equinas más grandes del mundo.
Luego visitaremos la Rueda de Falkirk, el primer y único elevador de barcos giratorio del mundo. Este icónico hito escocés y proeza de la ingeniería tiene 115 pies de altura y transfiere barcos entre los dos canales.
Luego pondremos rumbo a Glasgow, y nuestra primera parada será en la Catedral de Glasgow. Construida en el año 1100, la catedral de Glasgow sobrevivió casi intacta a la Reforma Protestante y ahora es la catedral medieval más completa del continente escocés.
Junto a la Catedral de Glasgow, puedes explorar la Necrópolis si lo deseas. Establecida en 1831 y construida según el estilo arquitectónico del Renacimiento clásico, y siguiendo el modelo de Père-Lachaise en París, la Necrópolis tiene alrededor de 3.500 tumbas. Entrada incluida.
Aquí también tienes la opción de visitar Provand's Lordship. Construida en 1471, esta es la casa más antigua de Glasgow.
Junto a Provand's Lordship, si lo desea, puede visitar el Museo de Arte y Vida Religiosa de San Mungo. Entrada incluida.
Al salir del recinto de la Catedral, lo llevaremos a ver la Fuente Doulton, construida para la Exposición Internacional de 1888 en Glasgow. Esta es la fuente de terracota más grande del mundo.
Luego nos dirigiremos al West End, pasando por algunos de los increíbles murales de Glasgow. Una vez en el West End, te llevaremos a ver el edificio principal de la Universidad de Glasgow: el edificio Gilbert Scott. Este es el segundo edificio neogótico más grande del Reino Unido después del Palacio de Westminster.
Luego lo llevaremos a la Galería de Arte Kelvingrove, construida en 1901 en estilo barroco español. Aquí puedes ver una serie de colecciones, así como un avión Spirtfire restaurado de la Segunda Guerra Mundial.
Finalmente, si el tiempo lo permite, terminaremos nuestro recorrido llevándolo al galardonado Museo del Transporte antes de llevarlo de regreso a su crucero u otro alojamiento de vacaciones.

Our tour guide Gerry took us on a full day tour from the cruise port to Loch Lomond, the town of Luss, Inveraray, the Coos and the Kelpies. Gerry’s knowledge and stories of the area made for a wonderful full day tour we appreciated the time that he took with us to show us the larger sites as well as the smaller sites along the way. We took this tour as part of a cruise stop. And Gerry was very conscious of the time that we needed to be back to the ship. By the end of the tour we felt like Gerry was part of the family and Scotland was a little bit like home.

Our driver, Simon, was personable, flexible, courteous. He made our day a memorable one because he was willing to personalize our itinerary to help us see some places and things that were of special interest to us. Once he got the sense of the kind of interests we had, he made some excellent suggestions to round out our experience. Our side trip to the little town of Luss proved to be one of the highlights of our day. Simon was also attentive to our needs by providing water, a step stool to get in and out of his van, and his suggestion for lunch in the town of Callander. Lastly, our last experience was with the Falkirk Wheel. Simon took time to explain how it worked and waited patiently while we watched the wheel operate. All in all, we had a great day getting out into the countryside outside of Glasgow. I highly recommend his services as both a good driver and guide.

We had an amazing private tour of the Scottish Highlands area with Gerry. The tour had a standard itinerary but Gerry let us customize it to see and do a few things we specifically requested. Gerry is very knowledgeable about this area and provided us with a lot of very interesting historical facts along our tour. He went above and beyond what we expected to make sure we enjoyed our day with him! Gerry was very professional and very easy to work with. Our communications with E2G and Gerry were very clear and timely!
