Este recorrido lo llevará a través del tiempo tal como lo hizo Diana con su historia Outlander. Descubriremos juntos la inspiración que tomó de estos lugares especiales aquí en las Tierras Altas. Paisajes impresionantes, monumentos históricos, famosos lagos, castillos, jardines y destilerías. Este recorrido le brindará una verdadera experiencia de las Tierras Altas de Escocia. Recuerda llevar tu cámara… No estoy seguro de qué es un Sassannach, ven y descúbrelo :) Go Highlands solo atiende a pequeños grupos de hasta 7 en nuestros recorridos, lo que significa que siempre obtienes la mejor experiencia.

Aquí es donde termina la serie uno... la Batalla de Culloden, mira la pequeña casa que Claire convierte en un pequeño hospital improvisado y luego los muchachos lo usan para esconderse. Un lugar solemne, la última batalla librada entre escoceses, clanes, ingleses e incluso algunos irlandeses
Aquí también obtendrás vistas fabulosas del lago Ness y tendrás la oportunidad de ir a sus orillas con la esperanza de ver el "caballo de agua" que cautivó tanto a Claire Randall (o Nessie, ¡como es mejor conocida por estas partes!)
En esta parada, nos tomaremos un tiempo para degustar esta ginebra galardonada. Tomando su nombre de la línea de falla que divide las Tierras Altas, nuestra destilería utiliza ingredientes naturales y locales para darle una pequeña muestra de nuestro majestuoso entorno. Great Glen es la destilería artesanal más nueva y, orgullosamente, la más pequeña de Escocia. Aprovechando los elementos de un lugar salvaje, esta ginebra suave y terrosa es una carta de amor a la naturaleza.
El castillo de Urquhart es probablemente uno de los castillos más fotografiados de Escocia, que data de alrededor del siglo XIII (pero tiene hallazgos de asentamientos en el sitio que datan de tiempos prehistóricos). Su posición en el lago proporciona el telón de fondo perfecto para ver y fotografiar el lago Ness ( con o sin el monstruo).
El hermoso pueblo de Beauly era el lugar al que Claire y Jamie se dirigían a principios de la primera temporada. Beauly Priory era una comunidad monástica de Valliscaulian ubicada en "Insula de Achenbady", ahora Beauly, Inverness-shire. Probablemente fue fundado alrededor de 1230. No se sabe con certeza quién fue el fundador, diferentes fuentes dan a Alejandro II de Escocia o John Byset.

Best excursion ever! Sarah was so friendly, funny, and so knowledgeable! The small group was just perfect, and Sarah was able to tailor the trip to the guests' needs and wants.

Our tour guide, Sarah, picked us up & dropped us off at cruse port. She did an outstanding job & was extremely knowledgeable. It is a must do if in the area.
We loved this tour! Although it was a cold, rainy June day, it let us know how the locals feel there. Saw beautiful places, and learned a lot from our knowledgeable tour guide George, who also has a good sense of humor. I would hands down recommend it to anyone, and would take the tour again if traveling with a friend.
We spent a wonderful day in Inverness with Sarah! She was extremely knowledgeable with her tour and the history or legends that went with each site - nice being with a local! She picked us up at the port and got us back in plenty of time. She had a great personality and this made for us to have a wonderful day. Definitely recommend her and Go Highlands tours.
Book this tour. Now. Full stop. George is like an old Scottish friend that you wanna hang out with, drink whiskey & learn all you can about his homeland Inverness & all things Scottish whilst teasing him about being known everywhere you go. What was to be a 4 person trip became a private tour w/ my sister and I, George & his wee dog, Leo. We overstayed at Clava Cairns & Culloden learning all we could; picking George’s endless depths of knowledge & literally getting wrapped up in a kilt. Then on to Great Glen Distillery for-hands down-the best gin I’ve ever had. A bite of soup & onward to Urquhart Castle & more silly questions for my new best friend, George. Then true disappointment when the tour was closing out because he’s a gem & we didn’t want to stop chatting. Nor did we want to say bye to Leo. Grand, grand time. Do this tour. Get George. He’s a wealth of knowledge & a helluva guy, plus the kilt is 👌🏽 We learned more in 6 hrs than I’ve ever learned about Scotland in my life. So hit book. Now. You’ll see what I mean. Thanks, George! Those crazy sisters from Maine.
George was a fantastic guide; had a great, dry humor and was very informative. He made suggestions about a possible change to our itinerary and let our small group decide which option we preferred. I would happily book with him again if returning to the Inverness area.
