It was a great trip. Jorge was amazing - a lot of fun and very knowledgeable.
Amazing excursion to four major parts of the forest. Jorge was a brilliant tour guide. I learned a ton about the history of the island, the history of the forest, and a lot more. Ample time at every stop to do what you want to do. The tour has two pick up stops, one in old San Juan and one in Rio Grande which was convenient for me being I was staying in Luqillo. The first stop of the tour is at the visitor center which is breathtaking. Then there's a short walk through parts of the forest there which is all on concrete. The next stop is baño grande. A man made pool in the park. Again just stunning scenery at the location and even on the drive there. The next stop was Yokahu Tower. Worth the walk up the tower to get panoramic views of the forest. I use a cane due to disability and was still able to climb up and down the tower. The last stop was La Coca falls. Beautiful waterfall and you can climb near the center for pictures. Overall this was an amazing experience and a great tour of the forest for someone with a disability. Highly recommend this tour to anyone, but especially to people with mobility issues that want to enjoy the forest.
This is a wonderful tour provided by Patria Tours for those who have disabilities related to mobility. They can still visit the main attractions of the rainforest and those who accompany them have opportunities to hike a bit. Our driver/guide Jorge was so knowledgeable about history of Puerto Rico, flora and fauna of the rainforest and culture of his country making this experience even more memorable. He was also very attentive and kind to everyone and especially those with disabilities. Five stars for Jorge!!!
Our visit to El Yunque in Puerto Rico was truly one of the highlights of our trip. The rainforest is absolutely breathtaking, with beautiful waterfalls, lush vegetation, and incredible views around every corner. The experience was made even more special by our tour guide, Jorge. Jorge was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about El Yunque. He shared fascinating information about the rainforest's history, plants, wildlife, and the culture of Puerto Rico. His explanations made the entire tour both educational and enjoyable. He answered every question with patience and enthusiasm and made sure everyone felt safe and comfortable throughout the hike. Thanks to Jorge, we were able to appreciate the beauty and importance of El Yunque on a much deeper level. His professionalism, friendliness, and expertise turned a great excursion into an unforgettable experience. I highly recommend visiting El Yunque and taking a tour with Jorge if you have the opportunity. It was an amazing experience that our family will never forget.
Jorgé was a wonderful and knowledgeable guide. The van was clean and comfortable! Not much walking, mostly on and off the bus but hits all of the main spots!
Great trip to the rainforest, our tour operator was Jorge. He was very knowledgeable, friendly and personable. You can't go wrong booking with Patria Tours. Communication was great before the tour. Highlights included scenic waterfall, visitors center and short hike.
Very nice trip. I wish I could do something else, but this one the only one available for me. I'm a 64years old woman, puerto rico retired us to a nursing home probably....trying to be funny. Next time I'll rent a car and visit the park on my own....we ate good food at luquillo....overall was a good trip. The water was nice.
It was great to have the ability to see parts of the rainforest even with mobility issues. Loved it and enjoyed the information our guide had.
As a person in a wheelchair, I am offered very little excursions. This trip to El Yunque rainforest was an excellent trip. The tour guide was very helpful with access on and off the bus, even when the mechanism malfunctioned, he manually cranked it so that I was able to get on and off the bus, he was very patient and pleasant. He was also very. knowledgeable about the rainforest. This was my second time using Viator and they did not disappoint me.
Jorge was an amazing guide. He was sensitive to the varying ages and abilities without making anyone feel left out. His knowledge of the Rain Forest was impressive.
