This was one of the top bucket‑list experiences of our trip, and it absolutely did not disappoint. I could’ve stayed at the Basecamp for days—it was that incredible. We had an amazing time riding the snowmachines and meeting the sweetest, most adorable reindeer. After the activities, we enjoyed a delicious lunch at Latitude 65, which was the perfect way to wrap up the day. We’ve already decided that when (not if) we return to Alaska, we’ll be staying at Borealis Basecamp for several days. We truly loved everything about this excursion and felt it was well worth the cost. Do not miss out on this fun‑filled day of adventure, unforgettable experiences, and breathtaking scenery.
Be prepared for a great experience.! Everyone was so kind and professional. The only negative I can think of was that the ride was too short, but that was my fault; I should have signed up for the two-hour ride, but that probably would have been too short as well! Snow gear and snow machine were immaculate, I'm sorry I can't give it more stars!
Lots of snow so the scenery is just amazing. Additional snow gear provided is amazing and makes ride comfortable. Staff is helpful. Communication on lunch options and their service hours needs improvement. Tour guides were great for both tours - they definitely make it fun.
The snowmobile tour was super fun! The snow gear was pretty convenient because weather was extremely cold, around -36°C Meet and greet reindeers was super cute activity, the girl in charge of them was very friendly and knowledgeable about all animals. We enjoyed our day.
Everything was great, but there seemed to be no clearcut times as we were never told there was a hard clothes for the restaurant at 3 PM. We even asked which way to the restaurant and nobody told us it was closed.
I have never gone snowmobiling before and was a bit nervous. Khloe and Isaac made sure i felt comfortable before heading out. Isaac continue to check in on us through out the tour to make sure we were holding up okay. 1 hour seemed too short, next time i would for sure do the 3 hour excursion. Evy took us to meet the reindeer and she was so sweet! You can definitely tell how much these guys love their job which makes the tours much more enjoyable.
I had an absolutely incredible experience and cannot recommend this place enough. The snowmobiling was thrilling and well organized, and the reindeer sighting was such a unique and magical experience. On top of that, I loved that we were able to add on a dog sledding activity just by calling the activity center — they made everything so easy and accommodating. Transportation was seamless with shuttles provided to all the locations, which made the entire day stress-free. Every single person we interacted with was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely excited to make sure we had an amazing time. To top it all off, the restaurant was fantastic — the French dip was hands down one of the best I’ve ever had. Between the activities, the food, and the outstanding service, this trip exceeded all expectations. I will absolutely be coming back and recommending this experience to everyone I know.
Great tour with the best tour guide! Guide is super friendly, gave us plenty of time in Santa Clause House and at the gas station before the hike. He gave us his hand warmer and he is always ready to help because the hike in December is not easy for beginners! I don't know if I can self hike this trail without him! Much appreciated! He is always willing to help so just ask for it!
A must do! It was such a great experience, the entire day was amazing! Everyone was really nice and the scenery is unmatched!
Thank you so much! We’re thrilled to hear your day felt amazing from start to finish!
Nice staff, offers different free activities (Skiing/Cycling/Snow shoes/board games), food were also nice too
Thank you for staying with us! We’re so glad you enjoyed the experience!
