Opciones de la excursión
Itinerario

We loved this well-planned experience. We particularly loved our amazingly knowledgeable, approachable and humorous guide Pia! A true professional. This tour is a fantastic value.
Thank you for your wonderful review! We’re so happy you enjoyed the tour and that the guide made it fun, informative, and memorable!
This was our 2nd out of 4 Private Viator experiences on our Amsterdam/ Paris trip. They have all been exactly what we wanted! We started our day by going to MuseumMolen and it was perfect. We had a passenger with limited mobility so our guide Fred suggested we go here instead of Zaahans Schaans and he was spot on. MuseumMolen was small but it was a lovely example of the inner workings of a windmill. This is one of our most favorite memories of everything we did on our whole trip! After this Fred took us to Edam and we had a lovely lunch at _____ in a quaint square. Then we went to Volendam and dressed up in traditional Dutch outfits for a photo. Volendam is touristy but it’s pretty to see the boats and water and we loved our picture! Great for a laugh and funny memory. I would highly recommend Fred and Viator in general! Having someone pick you up from your hotel in a large, clean van, provide waters, a concierge service level of attention, AND be so knowledgeable about the sites made for a perfect day. On this tour it was me, my husband, and our two daughters (ages 9 and 10) and my parents who are in their 70s. We all agreed it was a fabulous day!
Karel was great! He was at the cruise port waiting for us upon arrival and was very accommodating with the luggage and hotel drop off. He was very knowledgeable about the sites we visited and provided a wonderful tour of the countryside outside of Amsterdam. We really appreciated his time and patience with us, and would defiantly book another tour with him should we return to Holland.
Guide was top notch. Provided my wife and me with true insight of the areas visited and the Netherlands in general. Would book again, especially with the guide we had.
The private day trip was well worth it and our guide was extremely knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this to anyone visiting Amsterdam.
Very impressive tour with our guide Robert. This tour is a must-do for anyone visiting Amsterdam. Especially for families it is a great experience. Our guide Robert was very accommodating and easy to talk with. He is truly one of the best guides we ever did a tour with. With this tour Robert also takes you to a cheese farm, clog maker and inside of a windmill. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! Thank you Robert!
Robert, our guide was on time, well organized, and was answering all my questions about Amsterdam and Holland, all day. The area of Zaanse was a don't miss part of a trip to Holland and Volendam was a quaint stop for shopping and lunch. Great tour and it was personalized for as much time needed for shopping or just exploring. I would suggest going this tour if you don't want to be stuck with someone else's timeline.
The tour was excellent and well planned. The staff was very nice. The places that we went were great mainly a cheese factory, stroopwaffel factory.
Our guide Robert met us at our port and we drove Zaanse Schans, a quaint village. There are working wind mills using the direct power for specific tasks, such as a lumber mill, sawing through trees. There are many shops to purchase local wares, clogs, cheese, mustard, chocolate etc. It's scenic, well organized and definitely worth a visit, Prepare to spend about 2 hours or so. We then drove to Volendam, a shore front town/fishing village bordering Merkermeer Lake with an abundance of restaurants. It's beautiful and colorful but definitely touristy, but well worth a visit for the sheer beauty of the area. There are also several good fresh herring stands. Robert, our guide was very articulate and knowledgeable and didn't waste any time. He was well prepared.
Had been to Holland many times before but only Amsterdam, so wanted the whole shebang--windmills, cheese, wooden shoes. This tour did not disappoint. Left from main train station in air conditioned bus with great guide. Visited Edam and a cheese factory, stroopwaffel factory, wooden shoes factory, and a short ferry ride across the zuider zee. Perfect for a family, young or old.
