Mágicamente suspendida entre el cielo azul y el mar de color iridiscente, la costa de Amalfi parece nacer de la paleta de un pintor que quería usar los gradientes de color más cálidos para crear un paisaje que cautive al visitante en la primera toma, brindando una experiencia emocionante y Tal visión evocadora para dudar, por un momento, es real. Es la tierra donde el aroma dulce de las flores de limón se armoniza con el más aromático de la vegetación mediterránea y el aroma acre de la salinidad; donde los colores brillantes de las cúpulas de mayólica, buganvillas y pérgolas de claveles dan un toque de color evidente a las típicas casas encaladas, aferradas a los últimos retoños de los Montes Lattari que se sumergen dramáticamente en el mar.
La arquitectura singular de las casas blancas de Amalfi, el buen clima durante casi todo el año, lo convierten en un destino para miles de turistas y extranjeros italianos. Amalfi es una ciudad de unos 7000 habitantes, rica en historia y arte, que da nombre al homónimo Costa Amalfitana, famoso en todo el mundo y, desde 1997, Patrimonio de la Humanidad por la UNESCO. Visitado por más y por su belleza, Amalfi es un objetivo válido también para gourmets y golosos, donde se inventaron los "canelones". Su fundación se remonta a los romanos; Desde el siglo IX, fue la primera de las Repúblicas Marinas y rivalizó con Pisa, Venecia y Génova por el control del mar Mediterráneo.
Sorrento es una ciudad con vistas a la bahía de Nápoles, en el sur de Italia. Un destino turístico popular debido a su variedad de pequeñas tiendas de antigüedades y su ubicación en la costa de Amalfi, se puede llegar fácilmente desde Nápoles y Pompeya, ya que se encuentra en el extremo sureste de la línea de ferrocarril Circumvesuviana. La ciudad es más conocida por sus pequeñas tiendas que venden cerámica, encaje y marquetería (carpintería). La península sorrentina tiene vistas a Nápoles, el Vesubio y la isla de Capri. El camino de Amalfi, que conecta Sorrento y Amalfi, es un camino estrecho que se extiende a lo largo de los altos acantilados sobre el mar Tirreno. Ferries e hidrodeslizadores conectan la ciudad con Nápoles, Amalfi, Positano, Capri e Ischia. Dramático, de lujo y más que un poco elegante, Positano es el chapoteo de la cubierta frontal de la costa de Amalfi, con casas vertiginosas que caen al mar en una cascada de durazno, rosa y terracota blanqueados por el sol. No menos dignas de fotografías son sus empinadas calles y escalones, flanqueadas por hoteles cubiertos de glicinias, restaurantes elegantes y tiendas de moda. Una perla de la costa de Amalfi, se presenta como un grupo de casas de colores pastel que se aferran a las empinadas cornisas de las montañas Lattari, que se reflejan en el claro mar debajo, rodeadas de una intensa fragancia de limón y colores brillantes y vivos de buganvillas. Un laberinto de callejones y escalones con pequeñas tiendas que exhiben los productos típicos de la artesanía local, que, junto con la indiscutible belleza del paisaje, han contribuido a que Positano y la costa de Amalfi sean famosos en todo el mundo. Nos referimos a los vestidos de lino fresco en estilo "Positano fashion", las sandalias de cuero, las cerámicas coloridas y el limoncello.
La costa de Sorrento es un promontorio irregular que apuntala el extremo sur de la bahía de Nápoles. Esta península de terreno montañoso termina abruptamente en un acantilado que se precipita hasta el mar Mediterráneo. We had an outstanding day with Max as our guide from Rome in Limo, exploring the Amalfi Coast and Pompeii from Naples. Our journey began with a departure from the chaotic cruise port and a drive along the famous winding coastal roads to Positano. Despite the traffic and the challenges of navigating one of Italy's most scenic routes, Max expertly managed the drive while sharing insights about the area, local life, and the unique traffic patterns of the Amalfi Coast. Positano was absolutely stunning, and while we could have easily spent an entire day there, we were able to see many of the highlights and take in the incredible views. From there, Max took us to Sorrento, where he recommended lunch at Ristorante Zi Ntonio. The meal was excellent and provided a wonderful opportunity to experience authentic local cuisine. Sorrento itself was charming, and we enjoyed exploring the town before continuing our tour. The final stop was Pompeii, where Rome in Limo had arranged for a local guide to meet us and lead us through the ancient city. Having a knowledgeable guide made a tremendous difference in understanding the history and significance of the site. Pompeii was far larger and more fascinating than we expected, and we could easily have spent more than a day exploring its streets and ruins. Although each destination deserved much more time than a single day allows, Max helped us make the most of every minute. Beyond the sights themselves, some of our favorite moments were the conversations during the drives between locations, where we learned about the region, its history, and everyday life in southern Italy. If you're visiting Naples and want to experience Positano, Sorrento, and Pompeii in a single day, we highly recommend Max and Rome in Limo. Their planning, local knowledge, and professionalism made this one of the most memorable days of our Mediterranean trip.

Beautiful Drive, with plenty of view stops. Diego, our driver was so fun and informative. This was our second time doing this exact tour, but it was just as great. We had plenty of time for lunch on the cliff with a fabulous view, and time for shopping. Diego also briefly drove around Naples to show us his home town. I would highly recommend this tour for anyone stopping in Naples.

We booked a shore excursion from a cruise ship with Alex from Rome in Limo . We visited Ravello, Positano and Sorrento. The scenery was spectacular but what made the day really special was the warm personality and great knowledge of Alex our driver. I cannot recommend him highly enough . We booked four trips on this holiday with Rome in Limo.We were collected from Rome and dropped to the cruise ship .We also were collected from the airport and dropped to our hotel and from the ship back to the airport . On each occasion our driver was there early and the service overall is exceptional

We had a wonderful day with our driver Giovanni. He was prompt and professional and shared so much very interesting information with us. We were able to see Positano, Amalfi, and Ravello in one day. We enjoyed his company and he provided us a great lunch recommendation too! Jany was a huge help in making all of the reservations and handling all of our questions. Highly recommend this company!

We were on a cruise, but docked for a day in Naples. We had been to Pompeii and Naples before, and wanted to experience something different. The tour was all day, but the time passed quickly. Alex, the driver, met us at the dock. The Mercedes was comfortable and the air conditioning was excellent. Alex was extremely knowledgeable and pointed out all the sites. He was very flexible and gave us options of what to see that interested us. We had free time in the cities to explore. We were returned to ship on time. On a side note, we also used RomeInLimo to shuttle us from our Rome hotel to our cruise ship. Both experiences were excellent! We were a group of 4, 2 couples. Price was reasonable considering the length of tour, what we saw, and the excellent tour guide!

We spent a beautiful day with Daniele on the Amalfi Coast. He was truly amazing and we are so happy we had the chance to meet him and learn all about this beautiful area of Italy. We didn't know what to expect, or how our personalities would accustom to our guide. My husband and I both feel like we won the lottery with Alessandro! From the time of pick up, until the time of drop off, we were greeted with a smile and shared laughter throughout, the entire time. There were at times a little bit of car karaoke! WOW! What a fun filled and exciting day that we got to experience. It has always been a dream to see this side of the coast, and for our honeymoon, we wanted a more intimate tour. Without hesitation, we booked the Rome in Limo tour through Viator. IT WAS FANTASTIC! Alessandro is a plethora of knowledge about the area. The evening prior on our cruise, we had heard that there was a rockslide in Positano, which may impact our day trip. Alessandro knew a back way that would allow us time along the coast for some shopping, site seeing and memories to last a lifetime; and honestly, I'm unsure who had more fun, us or our Tour Guide. We were able to get into Amalfi before the BIG busses and crowds, and able to enjoy a visit to the Duomo and shops. Once we finished there, we headed further up the coast, stopping at beautiful lookout points over the mountains, smelling the wonderful jasmine and flowers, and just taking in the beauty that this side of the world has to offer. However, we weren't finished... Since we couldn't visit Positano due to the route and time constraints of our cruise, Alessandro took us to Naples, where we enjoyed the BEST PIZZA, learned some of the history, and again, just took in all of the beauty. THIS TOUR WAS MAGNIFICANT! Do not hesitate to book it as they fill up quick. Ask for Alessandro. You will feel as if you're with a long lost family member! We will surely book in the future and request for him. Thank you again for the memorable time and laughs!!!
