Itinerario

Great day tour to discover the melon delta. Our guide Jerry was very helpful explaining things throughout the journey
This was a highlight of my Vietnam trip. Well organized and super-fun. The biking and paddled boat ride were terrific. Great lunch - wonderful guide.
much done. the time spent there was also well used by the guide in providing information, especially country knowledge.
Excellent 1 day tour to the Mekong delta, knowledgeable informative well spoken guide named Baho, he had a calm relaxed vibe which worked well for our small group. The tour highlights in my mind we're the Temple visit, the display of local crafts, the traditional singing and the great boat rides. I highly recommend this tour.
Hua our tour guide and Anh our driver made this a fun and safe experience. The food was delicious and the activities stimulating and fun.
Great Experience! Highly recommended. Our tour guide, (Dan) Nguyen is a great tour guide. Will do it again next time.
Our trip into the Mekong Delta was one we had been looking forward to immensely, and thankfully it did not disappoint. We were collected right on schedule by our guide, Dan, before picking up the other participants. From the very start he was friendly, welcoming and full of energy, setting the tone for what would become a fantastic day. Our first stop was the My Tho Pagoda. We were given around 20 minutes to explore, which personally I felt could have been a little longer. The grounds were beautiful, with intricate decorations, colourful statues and peaceful surroundings. It felt like one of those places where you could easily spend an hour wandering around and still discover something new. From there we transferred to a boat and crossed over to Unicorn Island. Here we had the opportunity to sample honey tea and meet some of the bees responsible for producing it. The tea was delicious and it was interesting to learn more about the local honey production. There was also the opportunity to purchase honey products to take home, which many visitors seemed keen to do. Next came a short buggy ride through the island to a traditional music performance. Fresh fruit was served while local musicians played, providing a nice insight into the culture and traditions of the Mekong region. It was a relaxing stop and a pleasant way to experience something uniquely Vietnamese. We then boarded a small rowing boat and travelled through the narrow channels lined with dense tropical vegetation. This was one of the highlights of the day, gliding quietly through the waterways and seeing a different side of life in the delta before rejoining the larger boat. Our next stop was a coconut candy workshop where we were shown the process of making the famous local sweet treats. It was fascinating to see how much work goes into producing what appears to be such a simple product. Visits like this really provide an insight into everyday life and local industries within Vietnam. From there we made our way by boat to the restaurant for lunch. Guests had the option of taking a short bicycle ride beforehand, but we decided that fifteen minutes relaxing in a hammock was a far more sensible use of our energy. Research and relaxation are important parts of any holiday after all. Lunch consisted of fried fish along with a variety of side dishes and accompaniments. Everything was fresh and flavourful, while the lemon iced drink was particularly refreshing in the Mekong heat. After lunch it was time to retrace our journey through the channels, rejoin the larger boat and make our way back to the transport for the return journey to Ho Chi Minh City. What truly elevated the experience, however, was our guide Dan. Throughout the day he balanced information, humour and organisation perfectly. His knowledge of the Mekong region was impressive, but it was his personality that really stood out. His jokes kept everyone smiling, and his enthusiasm for sharing his country with visitors was obvious throughout the tour. Overall, this was an excellent day out and a fantastic introduction to life in the Mekong Delta. Between the boat rides, cultural experiences, local food and beautiful scenery, there was always something to enjoy. A huge thank you to Dan for making a great trip even more memorable. A small disclaimer for future visitors: One aspect we were less enthusiastic about was the presence of animal-related attractions and products at certain points during the tour. We passed stalls selling crocodile and snake skin items, which may be uncomfortable for more ethically minded travellers, as it was for us. There were also opportunities to hold a reticulated python and feed crocodiles, both of which we politely declined. This is not intended as a criticism of the tour itself, nor should it be viewed as representative of traditional Vietnamese culture. It is simply something prospective visitors may wish to be aware of when deciding whether this excursion is right for them.
Our guide, Mr. Du Lam, makes this trip unforgettable by providing very detailed guide and excellent care for our family. Our family truly enjoyed this trip and want to express our gratitude once again to our guide, Mr Lam. Hope to see you again in some day!
