Pase un día completo combinando espiritualidad, paisajes de montaña y lo mejor de la gastronomía catalana. Salida desde Barcelona hacia Montserrat, una de las montañas más emblemáticas de Cataluña, Parque Nacional y lugar de peregrinación durante más de mil años. Sube al emblemático tren de engranajes (cremallera) hasta el monasterio, con impresionantes vistas de la montaña santa. En la parte superior, su guía dirige un recorrido de 45 minutos por el monasterio benedictino, fundado en el siglo XI y hogar de la venerada Virgen Negra (La Moreneta), patrona de Cataluña. La visita se cierra con una degustación exclusiva de licores tradicionales elaborados artesanalmente por los monjes : ratafía y los famosos Aromes de Montserrat. Te espera un castillo histórico catalán con impresionantes vistas al viñedo, donde disfrutarás de un almuerzo de tapas tradicional catalán con postre. Su guía conduce un paseo por los viñedos y la finca histórica, maridado con una degustación de tres vinos exclusivos de la DO Pla de Bages, todos comprometidos con la producción sostenible.

Montserrat es un monasterio en la cima de una montaña situado en la cima de una montaña rocosa inusual. Es el punto más alto de las tierras bajas catalanas. El monasterio de Montserrat acoge “la Moreneta”, también llamada Virgen Negra. La leyenda dice que los monjes benedictinos encontraron la estatua y no pudieron moverla para construir su monasterio, por lo que decidieron construirla alrededor de la estatua. Montserrat fue designado Parque Nacional en 1987. Hoy en día, es un lugar de peregrinación para personas de todo el mundo. Una vez en Montserrat, disfrute de una visita guiada en grupos pequeños de 45 minutos y luego tendrá 2 horas para explorar por su cuenta. Puedes visitar el Museo, probar el licor casero del monasterio, dar un paseo hasta la cruz de San Miguel para disfrutar de un mirador increíble, subir al Funicular de Sant Joan, tomar maravillosas fotografías, comprar productos locales en el mercado de agricultores y más.
El origen del monasterio es incierto, pero se cree que la Virgen de Monsterrat (La Moreneta) fue encontrada hacia el año 880. (Los tours de 8.30 y 13.30 horas incluyen entradas a La Moreneta). Según la leyenda, los monjes construyeron el monasterio alrededor de la estatua. El monasterio sigue funcionando hasta el día de hoy con más de 70 monjes. La basílica de Montserrat comenzó su construcción en el siglo XVI y ahora alberga un museo de arte. También es el lugar donde actúa durante las ceremonias religiosas la Escolanía, uno de los coros de niños más antiguos de Europa (puedes escucharlos en la gira de las 9.30 horas).

What a wonderful day thanks to our guide Miro! I had a great time and was such a fun way to see Montserrat
This was an excellent full-day tour and one of the highlights of our time in Spain. The organisation was smooth, the guide was friendly, knowledgeable and engaging, and the driver made the day comfortable and stress-free. We felt safe throughout and everything ran on time. Montserrat itself was impressive, with incredible scenery, history and culture. Unfortunately, due to weather conditions and fire risk restrictions, some activities were unavailable on the day, including the walk to Saint Michael’s Cross and the Sant Joan Funicular. While that was disappointing, it was outside the control of the tour operator and safety always comes first. The standout for us was the winery visit and lunch. The food and wine were excellent, and the experience was made even better by the guide’s knowledge, storytelling and conversation around the table. It was a relaxed and enjoyable way to experience the region and learn more about local food and wine culture. We were a group of four and all of us thoroughly enjoyed the day. A well-organised tour that offers a great mix of scenery, history, culture, food and wine. Must do! Highly recommended.

Everything was perfectly organized and felt like a truly first-class experience. If you’re looking for a memorable day trip from Barcelona, I cannot recommend this tour and Miro highly enough. Miro was an incredible tour guide. We traveled with our sons, ages 8 and 11, who peppered him with questions throughout the day. Miro was knowledgeable about not just the Montserrat monastery and wine region, but also niche Spanish and Catalan history.
